Tenerife hotel recommendations for hol with teenagers?

Theatreland · 24/01/2023 16:01

I am taking my three teens (19,17,15) away for the first time on my own (post divorce) this summer and they fancy a beach holiday in Tenerife (or anywhere in Spain or Balearics really). Can anyone recommend a hotel that is a) NOT over-run with young kids and b) cosmopolitan - not just full of Brits?

We're looking 4* but not luxury (if only!). Preferably near a small town or village that we can walk to for local restaurants/markets/shops etc? Any thoughts would be hugely appreciated.

We did magic life in fuerterentura. Was a mix of Brits, Germans, Dutch, Belgiuns, French and Spanish staying there. Not many kids but I went in term time!

Lots of sports on offers, included in the price, right on the beach, ai, main buffet plus 3 other restaurants included in the price. Was pretty reasonable for what you get, it was £500 pp when I went, TUI, flights included

Not walking distance to town but on bus route

I admit I haven’t actually been there myself but we looked into GB isabel and it looks really good. There’s a very active Facebook page if you search for it. I think you can book it through jet2 and Tui (or you used to be able to last year)!

We opted for Tui Magic live cala Pada in Ibiza instead as we have a younger child as well who would like the activities there (booked for June).

@Sublimeursula yes, 4 adults. Probably all inclusive because teens constantly want drinks (non alcoholic but still!) - although we will end up going out for dinner most nights locally. It will cost what it will cost - no idea - but going in late August.

@gogohmm will take a look - thank you!

If you live in the north and can fly from Scotland the holiday will be cheaper once the Scottish Schools have gone back. AI tend to attract the Brits.

Are you a travel agent or something @sublimeursula?! As I said, I want a 4* hotel and am merely looking for recommendations so I can research them in more detail.

Was that in December?

No way you can get all of that for £500 in high season/summer

That's a bit rude op, she was trying to help you!

I had no intention of being rude - sorry if it came across that way. I just felt barraged by the quick succession of questions by @Sublimeursula ! As I say, I am merely seeking 4* hotel recs in Tenerife as per my original post so I can then research them further and work out costs/timings/board basis.

Parque de la Paz. Went there when I was 17 with my friend! Loved it!

Theatreland · 24/01/2023 17:06

@Fentylipgloss Thanks for that recommendation - looks great (from what I've read on tripadvisor so far!)

@Theatreland

It really was. My friend and I got a result because we had one of the larger rooms with an upstairs and a huge balcony! There's nothing I can complain about.

gogohmm · 25/01/2023 15:45

@Sublimeursula yes last year, term time as I stated.

Just looked, it's £615 in May this year.
