Always love hearing about peoples holiday plans - what holidays have you got planned/are hoping for next year and the year after?

It's nice to have travel to look forward to after barely any in 2020 and 2021!

2023 we are doing exactly what we did this year! May half term and again in summer hols we are going to a particular, family friendly AI resort in Türkiye. We rarely,
if ever, used to go somewhere twice, no matter how good, but our daughter loved it so much and we had such a great time, why not?! Currently trying to sort the flights out though as we were going from Doncaster which is obviously going to be closed by then.

2024 my husband is wanting us to go to South Africa to Cape Town and the Garden Route. I’m not sure how I feel about the idea though so I’m not sure if I will be going along or not.

@Phos sounds fun! You must be looking forward to it. I love planning holidays in advance, always something to look forward to!

I've just booked to go to Ischia and Naples in May. We went donkeys years ago so I am looking forward to going back. Planning trips to Capri, Procida and Herculaneum. This year we had our flights for Puglia cancelled so I hope to replan that trip again for next September.

Also going to a fabulous looking AI in Turkey in May half term. Looking forward to it already as are the DC

Monkeybutt1 · 15/10/2022 14:38

We are flying to Mexico on Monday!
We are beyond excited 😊
Going to Egypt in August next year to Hurghada. DS loves snorkelling so it will be perfect for him.

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 15/10/2022 14:41

Exciting. I don't think we are going to go abroad until October 23.

Italy has been on the cards for a long time so we're going to go in the October rather than summer, dc want to see pompeii.

Before then we've got HP studios in March and hopefully a weekend at a folk festival in the summer.

Depending how much Italy ends up costing we're going for a return to lapland in Feb 24.

grayhairdontcare · 15/10/2022 14:51

Venice in April
Crete in September
Can not wait

MinnieMountain · 15/10/2022 14:51

Saas-Fee in April.
The south of France in May.
My dad’s in the summer holidays, but I think it counts as he lives in South Pembrokeshire.
Hopefully Munich or Rome in October.
And Slovenia for just me in September.

Holidayqueen1 · 15/10/2022 16:10

@phos Capetown and the garden route are stunning, so much to do and see and the food is amazing! Stunning wild beaches on the garden route, great wine and just fab! You should def go!

i love holidays too, we’re off to Peru next weekend then France to ski 17/12 ( supposed to be going to India, a bucket list trip but change in rules on Indian visas put paid to that!)
jordan next summer on an adventure and not sure about next Oct half term.

i love holidays!

TizerorFizz · 15/10/2022 16:19

@OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea
If you want to see Pompeii, also visit Herculaneum. It’s smaller but well preserved. We travelled there from the Amalfi Coast.

JaninaDuszejko · 15/10/2022 16:24

I'm mainly excited about our trip to Andalucía for Oct half term this year. First trip abroad since 2019, although we've had excellent UK holidays in the interim.

Haven't decided what we'll do next year beyond the usual visits to see family in Scotland. We'll be boating or training next year so it'll be northern Europe.

Me too, just arrived. I tried to go to one of the Greek hotels in the same chain during the pandemic but it was cancelled. Nice to finally be here.

We've booked skiing for February half term and the US for August. Perhaps not the best timing given the exchange rate.

bert3400 · 15/10/2022 16:28

Currently on a city break in Amsterdam, in 4 weeks off to Vegas for 10 days due to my older son competing in a sporting event - but making a holiday too. Christmas week we are in New York and then Scotland from Christmas Eve and New Year - hopefully it won't be cancelled like last year - thanks Nicola Sturgeon. We live in Spain so don't do normal summer holidays but travel as much as possible in the winter. Next year Easter hols - Dubai & Maldives

EternalFlames · 16/10/2022 05:18

Las Vegas for 2 nights over New Year 2022/2023 (does that count as 2023?), Antarctica in February, London for the coronation in May, Finland for the northern lights next December.

For 2024 we already have a Hawaii cruise booked but also will be booking Borneo when the place we really want opens the booking availability.

readingismycardio · 16/10/2022 05:26

Lapland in December 2022, no plans for 2023 just yet!

uggmum · 16/10/2022 05:46

This year I have been to Jamaica, Rome, Dubai and Croatia. I'm going to Iceland in December.

Next year I am going to Mauritius, South of France and possibly Malta.

Will probably add an additional European holiday in towards the end of the year.

Indoctro · 16/10/2022 06:54

We are going to Slovenia to do all the beautiful lakes and mountains in July

Two boys age 6 /8

We are also buying a touring caravan so will be doing lots of caravan parks in Uk. We had one before, wasn't really mine and husband idea of holiday but kids love it so going to get one again.

Which areas have a short transfer time the other end and where do you fly into?

prinnycessa · 16/10/2022 09:51

This all sounds so amazing 😍

We've been to SE Asia twice this year and done a few UK staycations.

Next year we're going to Iceland in Feb, Scotland in June, Cyprus in September and Mexico in November next year. Also have Bath and the Cotswolds booked but will add some more staycations in.

For 2024 we are planning skiing (undecided where as yet) and the Maldives. Absolutely adore travelling!

Have a brilliant time @Indoctro . I went to Slovenia last July. Lake Bohinj in particular is stunning.

I've been to Cape Town 2 or 3 times and I REALLY didn't like it. Maybe the garden route will be worthwhile though.

whoruntheworldgirls · 16/10/2022 11:32

Either California road trip or Canadian rockies for summer, usually have an Easter holiday but most places in Europe too cool next year as it's early so might wait until May, though no idea where to go.

Yes we are looking forward to, my nephew is married to a girl from there and I've seen lots of there photos, it looks amazing. We can't wait to visit .

Zipps · 16/10/2022 12:30

2023
Dominican republic in February.
Yorkshire cottage in May.
City break in July not decided where yet.
Ibiza in September.

2024
Possible cruise around the med.
Another city break and UK break.
Probably Cala D'or Majorca which we go back to about every other year.

I need to do a bucket list with DH.

KillingMeDeftly · 16/10/2022 12:42

New York for May half-term and hoping the £ starts to pick up a bit! I was last there in 2009 and found it pretty cheap compared to London but I suspect things have changed...
