Majorca was too hot, where next?

Just back from majorca, Cala Millor, lovely hotel right on the beach, great pool etc but we just found the 29/30 degree heat too hot! Any ideas for a similar holiday next year but somewhere not so hot? I haven't travelled much and I'm wondering about Croatia? Open to any other suggestions. We're two adults, no kids. Thanks

Northern Spain (Galicia, Asturias....San Sebastian), France (Biarritz, La Rochelle) Scandinavia, Jersey or Guernsey ...if doesn't need to be beach then Austria, Germany, Slovenia (lovely lakes, rivers etc) or go earlier or later in the season to the hotter places.

Going without children always gives so much more scope for places and times in the year. If you assume temps are too low when they are quoted to you, you might be able to get 25 degrees but accept a rainy day or two?

Look at a weather map

Alps certainly are hot every summer. Austria, Slovenia, Croatia are all the same hot temperatures all summer.
I live at 800m, in an Alpine lake area. It’s heaving with tourists spending days boiling on the lake in med temperatures.
Its barely dropped below 30 since End of May, and was 40 here weekend before last. It’s normal here to be hot every summer.

I suggest Iceland. I have friends living there, and they are still wearing their glorious knit jumpers right now and hats

😂😂 goodness knows what happened there! What I was going to add is that it was in the 30s in Sweden in late June, apparently sweltering and not very enjoyable. The Alps at those temps has been okay as there's usually a breeze to accompany the hear!

In the last couple of years Crete has been ferociously hot.

Germany, other than the North Coast can be incredibly hot in the summer so I wouldn't go there. Probably Scandinavia or Northern France is your best bet. Near the coast will be cooler.

We’ve been to Menorca at end of May/beginning of June a few times and that’s always been perfect holiday temperature for me. The sea is cooler earlier in the year so not quite as great for swimming, but the temperatures are much more pleasant than later in the summer and it was still wall to wall sunshine.

Online shopping in Mallorca! Any tips?

I’m trying to order two car seats to collect from the carrefour in Mallorca when we visit. I’ve navigated the online site and have said car seats and essential groceries in the basket.
it allows me to get to the checkout and pay but hasn’t given me an option to choose date of pick up. Anyone have any tips? Does it come after you pay?

Go to the Azores! Absolutely gorgeous islands, loads to do and much cooler than mainland Europe.
