We are driving so apart from the usual basic kitchen items, condiments etc, loo roll, kitchen roll and cleaning products are there any other must pack items

We have ordered linen and will bring our own beach towels.

Is there a line to dry clothes on, do I need to worry about mozzies (no a/c on our park sadly so windows open at night).

My children are 8 and 3 if that helps

Thank you.

Oh and any tips to manage the 10h drive down also welcome. Thanks

Did you have a good time, OP?

This is redundant for you now but for any future readers, I’d say budgie smugglers! I had NO idea but many places in France have a rule against swimming shorts and I only just about got away with arguing that DS’s were for sun protection, thereby avoiding the need to buy some for €20 on-site. Next year he’ll be in budgie smugglers.

Yes we had a nice time though I didn't realise Eurocamp had free kids activities as I was only given a leaflet on the main campsite ones and realised on day 9 of 10.

Our site said the same thing about swim shorts on the paperwork but when there as long as they weren't board shorts they were fine.

We are flying to a south of France eurocamp (hiring a car there).
Any recommendations of what to pack other than the obvious? We’ve only ever driven and had the ability to take everything including the kitchen sink!

Thank you

We are going in a couple of weeks, also flying to the south of France and writing a packing list as we speak!

I am going to do without the home comforts like nice mugs, sharp knife but will definitely take some ice packs and those disposable ice cube bags. And some travel wash so we can take fewer clothes than usual and do washing there.

HappyHarry90 · 31/07/2024 06:50

Fabulous thank you for your help. Yes I had aimed to do the same re washing!

We arrived at the Eurocamp in Carnac on Wednesday. There was a a small welcome pack left for us with a few snacks, 3 dishwasher pods, a wash up sponge, a bin bag, mini washing up liquid, mini surface cleaner - enough to see us through the week. The tea towels are a good shout but no need for the bath mat. The knives are sharp but glad we brought our large mugs!
