Where’s your favourite ever place you’ve been to?

In bed with covid (although it’s not bad) so idly scrolling and dreaming of travelling / holidaying.
where’s your favourite ever place you’ve been to?
Mine is Big Sur in California.

We have done the Big Sur drive as well. Amazing. I just love America in general and have been to New York, Boston, Texas, Florida, New Orleans, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Los Angeles.
anywhere in USA for me. Lots of areas left to explore.

Toronto for me, I just love the variety and diversity, although I also have a lot of family there which makes it more special whenever I visit.

Lake Maggiore. Stunningly gorgeous and lovely food and wine.

I’m happy to see your reply! We’re booked in for 4 nights in Lake Maggiore in late June. Then on to Florence. I’m beyond excited!

Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. Beautiful around those parts of the Rockies.

Croyde Bay, Devon during the heatwave of summer 2006
The place. The circumstances (children young and at a delightful age, me and DH still full of energy). Wall to wall sunshine for 14 days straight. Gorgeous beach bungalow 2 mins walk to the sea. Fish and chi shop just on the corner.
Nothing has beaten it, before or since.

Lake Maggiore for me too. Boat trip to Isola Bella to view the gardens - absolutely magical place.

Flanders. I am interested in WW1 history, love cycling and eat a lot of chocolate so it's my natural home I think.
Chaoslatte · 09/05/2022 10:27
Either Slovenia or Belize. Both absolutely stunning and I would go back in a heartbeat!

@KangarooKenny
''Twas a little joke yes.
Real answer was SaPa, Vietnam..... and Barry Island. Can't decide which...

A close tie between Costa Rica (for the people, wildlife and rainforests) and Utah’s National Parks (for the otherworldly views and amazing hiking).
triplechoc · 09/05/2022 22:25
New Orleans. (Not for Bourbon St, we weren’t there for the partying!)
