Recommendations for a hidden gem city break.

Just that really, looking to go away with some girlfriends and would love somewhere a bit different. Any recommendations for places to go and or accommodation?.

Just got back from a short break in Lisbon and loved it. Weather was perfect (about 25-28c and sunny). Buses were very easy to navigate. We bought a pass from the metro at the airport and it can be used on metro, cable car and bus. There's a more expensive one that can also be used on the ferries.

For a non-standard destination, I really liked Strasbourg. It was much nicer than I was expecting.

Depends where you are and how far you want to travel - Uk or abroad?
