I have a flight in 3 hours and don’t have my NHS international travel covid pass verified! Any advice?

I’ve had all 3 vaccines and downloaded the NHS app ages ago and took for granted that I had the covid pass. But DH just pointed out that I have the domestic one and not the international travel one!

I did the whole ID thing, but it days it will take up to 5 working days to verify my identity! We fly in 3 hours!

ahh! I fly in 3 hours! what do I do?! I can’t even find a number to call! I’m such an idiot!

They said I could take an antigen which is faster - taken it, might miss my flight but have a chance.

apparently the results are 20-40 mins.

I’m so angry with myself! Crying in the airport about it as well!

Oh no!

Traveltheamericas8 · 01/05/2022 15:38

I made it! On the plane and waiting for it to take off!

A lesson for all of us - the covid passport on the NHS app isn’t instant 🤪

That was stressful and expensive!

Hello I was wondering if anyone could help, I fly to Spain next week and I have the NHS App where it lets me click covid pass - travel, and gives me a QR code.

I've never had to upload a video to the app to verify my identity and now I'm slightly worried I'm going to experience issues. Is anyone able to advise at all xx

For what it's worth, as some posters have said otherwise... I flew to Portugal this weekend and had to show my covid pass at the gate for easyJet. They refused a couple of people who didn't have a test or Covid pass. With only 20 minutes to take off they couldn't get a test done. I downloaded my pass from the NHS app to my Apple wallet and it was fine.

Portugal is not the same as Spain. Portugal dropped their passenger locator forms last week. Spain have not.

You don't have to do PLF now if you're vaccinated.

I traveled to Spain last week and no one in the airport here had any interest in my vaccination status. I did get my QR checked in Spain after border control. So glad you made it!

Apparently neither did my DH because he did it a year ago! Which is why it took me by surprise.

I don’t know why he didn’t have to verify his identity and I did - I can only think maybe they changed it all between the time he got his and I got mine?!

Also - when I got to Spain nobody checked. It was only when I was at Heathrow and trying to check-in that they wouldn’t let me do so without it or a negative test.

He probably did have to verify his identity but forgot he did it. I did mine last year and had to take a photo of my driving licence (I remember because it was a pain trying to avoid reflection and took several attempts). I can't remember if it was a photo or video but I definitely had to do something for them to compare to photo ID (I actually debated putting makeup on for it Blush). My DH sorted his in less than a minute and promptly forgot about it. I've just asked him and he doesn't remember it at all.

Yes you’re probably right - sounds like my DH to have done it and forgotten!

Hi we are going to Spain tomorrow at 8am.
I'm fully vaccinated but my DD 12 isn't yet. We have just done the antigen test and sent off the results. Because I was worried I ordered one from test and go and another from randox I think it is.
Can you do both tests and get two lots of certificates or will that mess it up?
Worried incase something goes wrong and we dont get the certificate in time. Still need to fill in the rest of the passenger form etc.
