Jersey? I loved it there and there’s lots to do.

A French campsite - euro camp type of stay, static caravans etc. if you choose a nice area you can find things to do and can bbq in the evenings, they usually have lovely pools to relax by.

If you go the very last week of august/beginning of September it’s often a bit cheaper as the European countries go back to school then.

Thanks. But hoping to go abroad.

Go.on Skyscanner and search for your dates and put Glasgow to everywhere and then try Edinburgh to everywhere. See where come up and then search for accommodation on Airbnb or vrbo. I just did the same exercise for a week in july and got a week in zadar in Croatia for £900 for a 3 bed apartment and direct flights from Newcastle for 4 people.
If you would prefer a package loveholidays always seem good to me.
Like pp said if you go after mid August in Scotland it will be cheaper because the kids will be back

Watched programme about Berlin last week. Looks fabulous, especially for young adults. Weathers usually good in August too.

Paris is fabulous (though was 38 degrees last time we were there in August).

Lake Garda?

I think your budget may be hopelessly optimistic!
JEt2 holidays are quite easy to search on as you can pick multiple airports and destinations (unlike some that require you to go through every single option separately). I did a search from Glasgow and Edinburgh on the first weekend in Sept and the cheapest option is £1364 for 2 adults & 2 children but I'm guessing your teens may be older teens if you're going outside school holidays so that might be more if they count as adults.
You can also check where you can fly to from the airport websites and then look at booking flights and accommodation separately but it rarely works out cheaper www.edinburghairport.com/flights/destinations/now-flying

What are you dates ssd?

ItsDinah · 06/04/2022 13:13

Nice or elsewhere in SOuth of France. You should be able to get something within budget. You can look at Expedia for hotels/apartments and book flights with one of the budget carriers.

Sallyingon · 06/04/2022 13:28

You can fly to Faro in Portugal from Glasgow on the 22 august and return either on the 26 or 27th august with Ryan air for £51 or £59. (Without baggage) There are absolutely loads of apartments available on the Algarve within budget.
