A treat for us all but cant afford a week, dcs are in their 20s

September may be cheaper. Does it have to be those 2 months OP? May usually have good deals... maybe try end of May.

Bulgaria-sunny and still untouristy enough to be cheap ish but looks and feels very like Croatia. Nice and hot, beaches etc-next big destination I reckon

What about Sitges? Fly in and out of Barcelona, then it's a 25 minute train.

Think you may have to up your budget- we have had to pay more for half term in May/June for 5 nights.

Fly to Malaga and get the train to somewhere along that coastline. Torremolinos is great for nightlife.

Flights are often cheaper if you go either side of august BH. We always do that and the cost is about £500 cheaper.

Mind you those dates maybe cheaper for flights in Scotland anyway because your school holidays end then?
