Anyone been to / going to Greek islands?

Due to holiday on Greek Island in 2 weeks. Really anxiety inducing, anyone in the area boat or can offer reassurance?

I know that feeling @morbidhamster With only 3 days to go, I’m paranoid about every little cough or sneeze and then have to remind myself I’ve felt like this for months because of hay fever. I even did a lateral flow yesterday to reassure myself. I don’t know who this anxious person I’ve become is 😂

@Postbox123 because DH and eldest dd aren't double vaccinated yet so having to quarantine.
They've not called but just randomly rocked up yesterday morning.

Dh was cleaning dog poo up in the garden lol and dd was snoring her head off.
Then we had to fanny about getting the passports back out as DH put them in the loft before I had chance to get them out of the bags.
Oh and then the fire alarm went off as I burned my toast while at the door to them.
Was all fun and games.

I swallowed a mint the wrong way on the landing coming home and started coughing uncontrollably.
The looks on the plane Haha.

I thought it’s just a test before flying and day 2 test, no quarantine needed, I’m confused?

If you're double jabbed yes.

If not like my DH and dd then quarantine for 10 days.

I was actually amazed they knocked the door tbh especially as they hadn't called.
Seems very ominous without being a drama queen. Defo felt like I was in trouble... bit like when a police car is behind you when you're driving even though you know you're doing nothing wrong ha.

Crete too, Koutouloufari. We are creatures of habit. I never thought I’d return to the same place but I’ve lost count now, it’s heaven

In Crete at the moment, flight and airports at both ends were easy.
Few issues here with less taxis and hire cars than normal so cost of car hire is more expensive. Local ice cream distributor has gone bankrupt so some bars snd restaurants don't have ice cream. But some do and the supermarkets do.
I've noticed varying degrees of mask wearing indoors, but we haven't moved far from our very small local area. Local restaurants are saying they are busy this week.

I’ve heard that as well about a lack of taxis in Zante. Someone had posted on one of the Facebook groups asking for ideas as they’d gone out for the day and then had spent 3 hours trying to get back to their hotel as there were no taxis, hire cars or boats to be had.

I’m trying to fill out my PLF and we’re travelling with a mixture of vaccination certificates and antigen tests. Do you just complete it as for the lead passenger?

LFTs done this morning for return, all negative - phew! Doc said a family the other week were carted off to a quarantine hotel for 14 days as their teen tested positive 😢. We are at a 5 hotel but that seems not to matter, I thought I'd read you could stay at hotel if a 4-5.

Had some amazing meals out - can thoroughly recommend Krassopsychia Taverna in Krasi in the mountains, near the Lasithi Plateau. The teens loved the vibe at the Med Cafe in Hersonissos, and we had a wonderful morning soaking up the sun and tunes at Isla BIstrot in Plaka nr Elounda.

Well we made it. No testing on arrival in Athens and very speedy through checks and customs- just quick show of PLF, vaccine passes and test results for kids.
Fingers crossed for returning journey 🤞🤞

@GrealishHairband we've just completed our's and had the same question. In the end we did just answer for the lead passenger and I guess we will be asked to provide the info for the rest of us once we land.

We made it to Crete.
All very easy, Luton was quite quiet. Nobody on our flight was tested on arrival, they just looked briefly at the PLF. I’m so relieved to be here.

Home today from Elounda in Crete... and so worth it😊
Going Luton airport was easy and quiet. We had everything printed out.
Coming home we had LFTs done in resort and the PLF on our phone.
We ordered Randox while we were away.
I'm so glad we decided to go. Elounda was a wonderful place, beautiful food, views, boat trips. Loved every minute

@Delatron - get there early morning as it busies up. Great mix of people there, enjoy!
