Due to holiday on Greek Island in 2 weeks. Really anxiety inducing, anyone in the area boat or can offer reassurance?

I’m going into a bit of a spin. Just done middle child’s fit to fly LFT, negative. But the report doesn’t say fit to fly anywhere on it - is that ok? I can see that it is when I log into Chronomics but I’m stressing myself out trying to make sure everything is 100% right.

GrealishHairband · 02/08/2021 08:36

@Bayleaf25 that’s tight. I feel for you. We’re currently on day 4 of DD still testing positive on LFT so I don’t have any comforting words of wisdom for you at the moment I’m afraid. I have no idea if or when that might change.

Bayleaf25 · 02/08/2021 08:39

@GrealishHairband thanks. He’s 18 so we can go without him, just feels a bit sad so clutching at straws I think. Bizarrely none of his LFT were positive but I haven’t done any since positive PCR.

GrealishHairband · 02/08/2021 08:50

@Bayleaf25 if he isn’t testing positive on LFT then that’s good? I’d be testing him at home constantly so I knew what to expect.

DD turns 18 the day after we return (strategically booked so no self iso for her) so we could leave her as well if it came down to it but I’m not sure I could.

In terms of when you get back if you manage to get away it appears that unlike the rest of Europe, the Uk doesn’t recognise proof of previous infection 🙄 but I think I’d be just crossing my fingers and dealing with that when I got home.

Bayleaf25 · 02/08/2021 08:55

@GrealishHairband yes, it’s a pain having to self isolate now and when we get back as he’s losing money too from PT job.

Good planning/timing on your part, I was hoping DS would be double vaccinated but now due to isolating won’t get 2nd dose in time- grrrr.

GrealishHairband · 02/08/2021 09:06

Yes I think DD’s PT job might just tell her to get lost if we actually manage to get away then she needs to self iso after that. I’m just not even thinking about it tbh. First hurdle is to actually get away.

DO IT

Both mine tested positive this month. Can't quite believe it but we made it....sitting by the pool with a cold beer, 37 degrees and not a cloud in the sky.

Was very scared when they had the LFTs for Fit to Fly two days before but all was fine and there were no extra checks when we landed. Might be as it was a Sunday, who knows?

I'm not worried about them catching Covid here as they've had it!!!!!

If either test positive on the PCR when we get back to Gatwick, so be it - it was worth it!!!

ArabellaPilkington · 02/08/2021 10:59

Not this month - last month - July.

Dontrainonmyparade · 02/08/2021 15:42

If anyone has the headspace can you confirm I’m good to go? We fly tomorrow afternoon 😬

3 fully vaccinated
1 15 y/o with negative rapid test this morning.
1 4 y/o with nothing.

PLF done and received QR code already. Only able to add my own vaccination status but added rest of family details to travelling party on there.
Boarding passes printed and in Apple wallet and passports are all in date 6m ++.
Printed off vaccination records from NHS app x3 (and downloaded to everyone’s phone).
Printed off Chronomics report (which seems v basic) of rapid test result for teen.
Chronomics rapid antigen return tests packed x4

Am I missing anything? Trying to finish off work bits today before annual leave and I’m feeling incredibly stressed. I’m still not confident we are flying tomorrow.

Delatron · 02/08/2021 16:10

I’m going next week so following this.

Do you need to have ordered the return day 2 PCR tests or not. I.e do you need to show proof of having organised these? That’s the part that’s confusing me!

ElBurro · 02/08/2021 16:23

@Dontrainonmyparade I am in a similar position to you and have done as you have- I can’t confirm it is definitely right but I haven’t done anything extra so fingers crossed! I was confused by the PLR with it only showing my vaccination details, but I think that must be right if yours is the same.

BabyYoda9 · 02/08/2021 16:27

I think so - we've been given a reference code for the test which the company (Chronomics) have said to put on the return PLF, and Tui have said we'll need to do the online check in because we need to give our seat numbers. I'm due to fill mine in on Friday, currently loving the pool and the bar in Zante!

BabyYoda9 · 02/08/2021 16:28

@Delatron my comment above is in reply to your question!

Delatron · 02/08/2021 16:31

Thanks @BabyYoda9 I’m thinking of using Chronomics. Is it a package you book or all tests separately? Thanks.

Carrotcakeforbreakfast · 02/08/2021 17:01

@BabyYoda9 is it warm enough out there? Grin
Where abouts in Zante are you. We are due soon and I'm just starting to get excited.

Anyone else do a mad clean of the house like there isn't enough else to do before going away.
Currently taking a break from cleaning the oven.

Dontrainonmyparade · 02/08/2021 17:06

Thank you @ElBurro

@Carrotcakeforbreakfast I’m not cleaning - I have a plumber here replacing the en suite while we are away so no point for me!

God I just want to be there now! We are staying in Kalamaki.

Carrotcakeforbreakfast · 02/08/2021 17:13

We are going to Kalamaki too. Not been before but I know lots of people who have and they love it.

GisburnLand · 02/08/2021 17:29

Just want to cry, DC has tested positive, stuck here in Greece. He is so ill, we want to go home.

Bayleaf25 · 02/08/2021 17:43

@GisburnLand oh no 😢, hope he is ok. Can you stay in your accommodation or are you having to be moved somewhere else? How long have you been there already?

Hope all is ok x

Delatron · 02/08/2021 17:44

Oh no @GisburnLand I’m sorry to hear this.
Where are you? Are you able to stay in the current hotel? I hope he improves and you can get home soon.

Dontrainonmyparade · 02/08/2021 18:01

Oh no @GisburnLand sending Flowers
Poor all of you.

GrealishHairband · 02/08/2021 18:29

Oh no @GisburnLand I’m so sorry to hear that. A huge fear of mine.

ilkleymoorbartat · 02/08/2021 19:31

Sorry to jump on this thread, but we're due to fly to Spain on Ryanair (dh + 2xkids under 6). We're double jabbed but I'm completely confused about whether we also need negative PCR tests. Is any one able to advise please?

ilkleymoorbartat · 02/08/2021 19:34

And @GisburnLand I'm so sorry to hear about you Dc. That must be horrible.

Remmy123 · 02/08/2021 21:26

@GisburnLand so sorry to hear this and I hope your son gets better soon - where are you all now staying?? X
