Renting a house in the Netherlands - prices are much cheaper from the end of August - we used this company when we lived in Europe. It's in Dutch, but you get the idea.

Dutch Center Parcs. Fraction of the cost of U.K. Center Parcs even factoring in Euro Tunnel and petrol. All the amenities of the UK CPs. The Euro CP Cottages slightly less luxurious than U.K. but still very nice. Can't wait!

After two years of beach hols (Menorca and Portugal) dd wants to do a roadtrip of sorts, so I am putting together a 10 day or so city-break tour with the help of Ryanair/Easyjet and Expedia.
I've booked Madrid for 3 days, Salamanca (I studied there in my yoof) for 4 and then back to Madrid for onward flight to either Berlin or Brussels (whichever works out cheapest. Prob Brussels (where I also studied) I'm going to show her my past!
So far it looks like I can do 10 days with flights and 4 star hotels for about a grand less than the one week in Portugal last year.

Italy - fly into Naples and drive down the cliento coast it's wonderful and the food is amazing and so reasonable.
Some really lovely seaside towns as well, plus paestrum to visit.
Would love to redo that trip

Portugal for a week mid august. Staying in a self catering apparentment with access to pools etc. Very reasonable price for the summer hols too.

midsomermurderess · 05/03/2019 13:43

Linguaphile · 06/03/2019 18:13

Driving and glamping trip for us. Doing a few days in the Italian lakes, a week at Lake Bled and then a few more days in northern Croatia.

Linguaphile · 06/03/2019 18:16

Last year we had a brilliant holiday exploring Tuscany and Corsica. Stayed at a Eurocamp about 30 mins outside of Florence and then took the ferry from Livorno (about 20 mins south of Pisa) to Corsica for a week. Absolutely brilliant.

Penguinsandbears · 06/03/2019 20:58

Sweden and Norway - first hotel has alpacka and we will do beaver and moose safari then onto by Oslo and a place with private beach. Then a week by fjords with white water rafting, canyoning, reindeer etc.

IHeartKingThistle · 06/03/2019 21:05

Campervan round Wales. A week in Crete after that.

ilovepixie · 06/03/2019 21:31

We're in Benidorm at the moment and going to Ibiza in September.

mirmc · 07/03/2019 21:45

We like doing a city break at the end of the holiday. Something to look forward to instead of going straight home. Last year we went to London after a fortnight on the Costa Brava, the year before we stopped off in Paris and Disney. This year we are going to Lake Garda for 2 weeks, then getting the train to Venice and staying in an apartment there for 3 days.

ShesABelter · 07/03/2019 21:47

Kalamaki in Greece.

GreyGardens88 · 07/03/2019 21:48

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 09/03/2019 08:43
