Very excited to be going and I want to make the most of it. Any top shopping tips?

Thanks

I always buy pots of 500 ibuprofen and paracetamol when I'm there. So convenient.

I expect you're thinking of nice things and I have no advice Smile

SnuggyBuggy · 13/07/2018 20:25

I'm quite keen on baking so buy things like peanut butter chips and pumpkin purée that aren't so readily available in the UK. We have also got some good clothes from Walmart.

Crest teeth whitening strips...is that too boring Grin ?

EdWinchester · 13/07/2018 20:27

I like a Target trip. I buy loads of tubs of Clorox wipes and Tide with Bleach. Exciting.

I have just been and also bought 20 sheets face masks and 10 Essie nail varnishes. Not even any cheaper over there Confused

Times are different now - there isn't much worth buying imo, that you can't get here. I do buy loads of Advil and Crest White Strips though.

Patchworkflock · 13/07/2018 20:56

I like to bring back some Trader Joe's bits and bobs - they do nice salsas and long life dip things. It is worth seeking out a North Face outlet.

Lorelaithe1st · 13/07/2018 21:16

If you’re close to a Trader Joe’s supermarket, go there and buy all the snacks! They’re amazing Smile
Neutrogena dry touch sunscreen is great from Walgreens and a trip to Sephora is always good.

DrCoconut · 13/07/2018 21:41

Graham crackers. And Sierra mist for me 😂😂😂

FayKnights · 13/07/2018 21:46

Little coffee creamer pots in Dunkin Donut, they are delicious (if you like sweet, creamy coffee) Grin

Bouledeneige · 13/07/2018 21:55

I do love a huge drugstore/pharmacy in the US!

I'm sure thats not the groovy answer you were hoping for. But the exchange rate is not so great now. I do get T shirts etc for my kids but not much else.

OllyBJolly · 13/07/2018 21:56

NyQuil! Always stock up when I'm there.

Awks · 13/07/2018 22:07

Bath and body works candles - put jo malone to absolute shame

ViserionTheDragon · 13/07/2018 22:14

If you are into makeup and skincare, American make up brands are much cheaper over there (obvs), so I would stock up. Also, Drunk Elephant skincare products.

QueenOfIce · 13/07/2018 22:26

Tylenol PM, morphe make up brushes, crest teeth doodahs, Cheetos lucky Brand jeans, Art of Shaving sandalwood shave stuff, Coola SPF. I'm going next week and taking an empty suitcase Grin

Honeyroar · 13/07/2018 22:28

Look out for Bath and Bodyworks shops. Their candles and soap/lotions are lovely.

OlennasWimple · 13/07/2018 22:30

Paracetamol is sold under the generic name of "acetaminophen", OP

If you have a decent sized TJ Maxx, you can find some real bargains on labels like Ralph Lauren and Nautica (in amongst some real tat though)

Any outlet malls near where you are going?

Appin · 13/07/2018 22:31

Kids tshirts and jersey basics in Walmart.

Bagadverts · 13/07/2018 22:32

If you are petite or short I found a lot more choice in their stores.

(in America petite is about frame so you can get petite trousers in long regular or short)

Dafspunk · 13/07/2018 22:35

Peanut butter M&Ms. Large bags. Multiple.

bellinisurge · 13/07/2018 22:38

Neosporin - antibiotic version of Savlon. I know antibiotics are evil but ....

happygoluckier · 13/07/2018 23:05

Midol - paracetamol, caffeine and antihistamine in one. Meant for period cramps but I take it for whatever, sorts me right out.

Clearly the US is the ultimate OTC medication destination Grin
