Lanzarote or Menorca?

Hi,

Hoping to get some advice.

I have a family holiday booked in Menorca on 19th May. I am now worried it won't be hot enough for us with pools etc.

I am now looking at lanzarote. I have 10 days to change the holiday!

Has anybody been to either of these places on holiday during april/may?

Any advice on which one is best? and the temp etc?

Thankyou. xxx

Los Zocos in Costa Teguise? Is great for kids. We have stayed there and would recommend.

I much preferred the port area to the Marina.

Im so undecided between Costa Teguise and Playa Blanca. More for the weather! Is Costa Teguise that windier than PB? considering they are probably hour or two apart?

Seem to be cheaper resorts in CT?

Lanzarote is windy. In august some people wore hoodies in the evening as it got chilly. Warm in day though. It's very arid and baron due to the volcano. I didn't dislike it but I wouldn't rush back.

I think playa Blanca is nicer that costa teguise. Don’t think the wind is going to change much in either resort, they’re not far away from each other. But maybe PB is more sheltered as it’s in the south.

Im not overly fussed about the baron land etc. As long as its warm. As its more for my children and i know they aren't going to be fussed over the condition of the land lol.

Lanzarote seems to be the only place that'll be warm in April/may and within our budget.

If your little one likes water slides, there is a water park in Playa Blanca in Lanzarote. Never been as we've only ever been off season but maybe worth a look.

We stayed in hotels twice in that area: Sandos Papagayo Beach Resort
and Gran Castillo - both at the far end of Playa Blanca. Both had a shuttle bus to the centre of PB but we walked in and out each day.

The water park is called Aqualava

Agree that Playa Blanca is nicer than Costa Teguise, which is more 'Brits Abroad' PB has more international tourists.

There is loads to do in Lanzarote in addition to pool and beach.
