Any suggestions of good places to visit/ restaurants to take 3 year old DD?
We're staying in Southwark for 2 nights at the end of the month. Happy to travel round central London so hit me with your ideas please!

The best places, IMO, would be:

London Zoo
London Aquarium
Diana Playground and Diana Fountain in Hyde Park
Hamley's (if you want to buy her a toy)
Rainforest Cafe is fun for little ones
Giraffe is also a child-friendly chain with decent food and cocktails, etc for adults
She might enjoy the London Eye (but not if she's afraid of heights)

Natural History Museum
Transport Museum
South Bank (street performers, maybe the fountain installation will be there)
Look and see what is on at Unicorn Theatre.

Thanks all.

Any tips for natural history museum? We thought we would get there for opening on Sat and maybe combine it with Diana's playground- would that work?

Yep transport museum is on the list. She would like to do the eye- I went on it years ago and can't believe how pricey it is now!

The Dinosaurs were always popular with my 3 year old, as was the house that has creepy crawlies when you open cupboards. And the ant-hill. Otherwise we just followed where they took us.

NHM and Diana Playground a good mix.

Stop at an M&S Food and get a picnic for the park, maybe. Wander over to the Serpentine (you could hire a rowing boat) and the Diana fountain, etc. Lovely park.
