Check out the British Airports Authority website.
It has links and contact phone numbers.
The airlines have to take guidance for the British Airports Authority (BAA). So it is a good place to start at. Pre plan your journey and good luck.

Dh has been at Warsaw airport since this am for a lunchtime flight (evening one was cancelled). Eventually got on plane about 4 but just been taken off again and given bags. Waiting to see what time it's flying tomorrow before being sent off to airport hotel Xmas Sad

DarrellRivers · 21/12/2006 19:03

Thanks, am nervous re DH flying into Birmingham tomorrow evening.
MIL stated the bleeding obvious of how awful it would be if all the flights get cancelled.

DarrellRivers · 21/12/2006 19:04

Fingers crossed swedishmum

swedishmum · 21/12/2006 19:04

Maybe there isn't a festive sad emoticon!!

swedishmum · 21/12/2006 19:05

Where's he flying from DarrellRivers?

DarrellRivers · 21/12/2006 19:06

Dusseldorf, I have to fax him his driving licence tomorrow in case he has to rent a car and drive back.

bettythebauble · 21/12/2006 19:15

could he get a flight into Leeds/ Bradford? That has remained open the last week (ironically, as it's normally the first to close for fog!)

swedishmum · 21/12/2006 19:28

Dh's plane is due to go at 10am tomorrow now. We'll see. He has to be at the airport at 8 so I've booked him a hotel. Think he'll be having a v large drink! Says he'll drive home too if there's no flight tomorrow. I hate all this. Off to explain to dd3 why daddy won't be back.

MerrilyTooBuzzi · 21/12/2006 19:34

Oh dear, at least he is safe.

Can't get hold of dh. If he's overslept this morning and misses his plane I won't be happy. He insisted on going to a proper hotel in Warsaw rather than the airport one BA put them up in. Like to bet he had a few beers last night!
