Help - Passports renewal application stuck at Durham Passport Office and we are traveling this Friday

hi all,

I am desperate!!!

Passports sent via PO Check and Send on the 2nd July.
Called the IPS 0300 number over 60 times today - got through a dozen times.
Cant escalate - can't get transferred to Durham.
Cant talk to anyone.

I am crying and feeling sick as it will ruined the holidays for my twin girls, my son, my husband and my mum.

Can someone help or know someone from the Durham office help us!? We prepare to drive up from Bristol tomorrow to pick them up if need be :(

Sons old passport just came (second class) which means new one shouldn't be too long :)

Whoo hoo got my daughters passport today less than 24hrs of upgrading her old one came with it too. Still keeping fingers crossed for everyone else awaiting theirs xx

anyone know the number for newport office? Starting to get anxious as fly a week monday. submitted application5 weeks ago. The money has been taken

UPDATE I got in touch with my local mp and seems to av worked wonders as mp rang them yesterday and i have just received a phone call from durham to say it is ready for printing tomorrow but i have asked for upgrade and waiting for them to ring back to take payment excited now huge weight of my shoulders :-) Hope everyone gets theres in time good luck! xx

passport with examiner from 23rd july
passport printed 14th august
courier picked passports up from passport office 15th august
got delivery today(16th august) x

Hey everyone! Looks like everyones has worked out! My mp got in contact with the passport office and we got a call from
A lady called nicky at liverpool and she was really nice! She said it should be processed in the next 2/3 days and she will ring me as soon as its done to arrange an interview. The problem is as its his first passport it takes 24 hours to be printed, so we cant wait fot it, the woman said its cutting it really fine but it may just work out. So waitng on nicky to phone me back :/ feel sick xx

any one got the peterborough office main number (not the 0300) help line !! im flying out with my girlfriend on the 30th of august and sent my app on the 25th of july !! they didnt get it in peterborough until 28th :( can anyone help ?? i am willing to pay these bloody people in peterborough for a quicker service if you want to get hold of me quickly my number is 07889843573 anyone who knows how to help please :'( i cant sleep with all the worry

tommywarren contact your local mp asap.they are brilliant.got mine in 2 days after mp contacted them.i sent my 18th july for renewal and had it back on 6th august. good luck x

As the old passport was delivered yesterday is it definite that the new one will follow? keep having doubts again, one minute i'm all excited then start thinking it's not coming really won't relax until it's here!

Stargirl40 - could come at any time today or sat. The courier yest just tapped on door and shoved it thro so keep checking front door!!!! It will be fine ;)
