Help - Passports renewal application stuck at Durham Passport Office and we are traveling this Friday

hi all,

I am desperate!!!

Passports sent via PO Check and Send on the 2nd July.
Called the IPS 0300 number over 60 times today - got through a dozen times.
Cant escalate - can't get transferred to Durham.
Cant talk to anyone.

I am crying and feeling sick as it will ruined the holidays for my twin girls, my son, my husband and my mum.

Can someone help or know someone from the Durham office help us!? We prepare to drive up from Bristol tomorrow to pick them up if need be :(

Oops no that would be disasterous!! Did they I've u a tracking number? She told me I didn't need one, but it was fine!

no i haven't got a tracking number but i have emailed them. I'm trying to be patient but it's hard lol just want it here might change my name to beyondstressed2 haha

stargirl 40 i rang dx secure couriers and just gave my postcode you dont need a tracking number if you want the number let me know! xx good luck

My DC passport went to Durham for renewal via Check and Send; after following this thread I wasn't expecting to see it back any time soon. It took two weeks.

Perhaps I should be thanking all your MPs!

I just joined up, so I could say a big thank you. Having spent several hrs on phone to IPS the other day, trying to sort out my daughter's renewal, I chanced upon this thread through googling. I called the Durham number supplied directly & 48 hrs later I have the passport. You help was invaluable. Thank you all for the advice.

Somebody in the heavens is watching over me! Got a phone call today and got an appointment in durham tomorrow mornint at 8:45am!! Cant believe it x were leaving at half 4 in the morning but who cares! Im so happy x thank u to everyone for having there fingers crossed for me x

We got DDs passports on Thursday!! We had visit on the Monday at peterbourgh and paid for one week passports but got them within 3 days later! Glad I went in person

Hi, was wondering if anyone can forward me the number for Peterborough Office please? They've had my passport since the 31st July, i'm due to fly this Thursday 23rd August and i'm told that it's there. I tried numerous times to get through via the main advice line but the line at Peterborough is always busy/no answer. I'm willing to pay the additional costs to upgrade it but i can't get through to speak to anyone!
Please help!
