I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the dining in DLP catrin - that is one thing that we do enjoy on our trips there.
Hunters Grill buffet in Sequoia Lodge is usually very good, as is Cape Cod in the Newport Bay, Yacht Club in the Newport Bay, Manhattan Restaurant in the Hotel New York, Agrabah Cafe buffet in Adventureland, Walt's in Main Street, and Blue Lagoon inside Pirates Of The Caribbean ride in Adventureland.
Inventions buffet in the Disneyland Hotel is amazing, with Characters at dinner.
Auberge De Cendrillon in Fantasyland is fine dining with Princes and Princesses.
I have not eaten in Plaza Gardens buffet for some time, but it always seems very popular.
We had a very nice meal in Rainforest Cafe a few weeks ago, but I was disappointed with the service and attitude of the desk CM in La Grange buffet in Billy Bobs, so reported it while I was there.
Fast food wise we have always liked Colonel Hathis Pizza Outpost in Adventureland for the theming and Jungle Book music! Pizzeria Bella Notte is also usually a nice counter service place to eat. We like the ribs and chicken wings with tortilla chips in Last Chance Saloon in Frontierland, and also the Mexican food in Fuente Del Oro in Frontierland.
We don't usually bother with lunch as a good breakfast keeps us going until dinner.
When they were young our boys just wanted burgers and fries or pizza, but we always ate once in Blue Lagoon for a treat as they liked to watch the ride boats go by, even if they did find the food a bit too fancy.
For us, the meals are part of the holiday, but I do budget for the cost and sometimes add Half Board to our booking.
