McDonalds prices in Disneyland Paris?

UserNameNotAvailable · 31/10/2011 09:36

Hi, I've looked at the online prices for other restaurants and some are quite expensive so I filtered the search to under 15 euros and Mcdonalds was on the list. What are the average prices for adult/kids meals please? I want to try to be sensible and keep costs low so will be taking my own snacks and drinks etc but will obviously have to eat out for tea. Also we get there on Thursday night so can't go into the park until Friday, is there anywhere near the Sequioa Lodge in walking distance that we could go to for food? Any help much appreciated.

Whether kids will like Crush really does depend on how brave they are - or whether they know no fear!
You sit two people back to back in turtle shell cars -

A handle comes forward which also secures you at the waist, but no shoulder harness.

There is a short outside section of coaster track before going through a slower inside section with glow in the dark jellyfish, and Nemo theme.

After this you have an uphill climb before the swooping, spinning coaster section in the dark which is quite long.
Because the ride car ' shell ' is always turning every ride will be different - you can be going backwards, forwards or sideways at any time.

Some small kids love it, but they could also be terrified then afraid to try anything else.
Crush has no Fastpass facility, so you need to be here at park opening ( 09.30 ) to avoid a long queue.

I agree that the channel on the room TVs in the Disney hotels showing the parks is misleading concerning Crush's Coaster - it gives the impression that this is a gently turning ride, which it certainly is not. Height requirement for Crush's Coaster is 1.07m

Geordie - this is Big Thunder Mountain.

Surprised to hear that Mc Donalds in DLP does not offer veggie burgers or anything else for vegetarians, as they usually do.

When I am there again in January I will make a list of the meals and prices in McD to add to the Prices thread on the TA DLP / MLV forum.

Thanks again Figgy!

Only 4 more sleeps for us. Ds is beyond excited Grin

I too had hunted out hats/gloves/down filled coat but I reckon I'll roast! Hmm

Still no sign of park schedule... )((((drums fingers impatiently))))

Sorry but no time to link a picture, Crush's coaster is very similiar to Dragons Fury at Chessington except that its in the dark so you won't know in what direction you are going next, it is a more extreme ride than the advertising would have you believe. we went on it a couple of weeks ago and went when the stunt show was taking place in the arena and again at the end of the day. both times the queue time was shown as 40 mins but in reality was about 30.

Park programme now showing 1st - 6th November.

There is a ride at Alton Towers called Spinball Wizard which is similar to the coaster section of Crush, but outdoor.

The queue time will drop when a parade or large capacity popular show like Moteurs Action is on, but waiting time will depend on how busy the park is in the first place. In summer holidays and other peak times Crush queue is around 120 mins most of the day.
Offpeak it is much shorter.

Ooooooo all excited now! Thanks

Ds isnt great on scary rides but we will see how we get on... may be one to leave til our last day Wink

is the Panaramic balloon worth a go? How much is it? Is there usually a huge queue? Would be nice to go up at dusk?

Figgygirl · 02/11/2011 20:38

Panoramagique balloon costs ? 12 adult and ? 6 child. It rises to 100m and you are up there for about 10 mins. Good for video or photos of the parks, hotels, and area around DLP which is open countryside / farmland.

It is not usually busy - you just pay at the ticket booth by the balloon. We went up at the beginning of October after the parks had closed, around 7pm. It was still operating after dark, but will depend on weather conditions.

It is more crowded at certain times like on summer nights when you can watch the park fireworks from here.

My latest Panoramagique photos are in my October trip set.

If you don't want to miss park time, going up at dusk depends on what time it begins to get dark and when the parks close.

Geordieminx · 02/11/2011 21:31

Thanks, you are a star, as always. Grin

I think I have everything covered now.

Oh actually, we are flying with AirFrance, will it be clear once we get our luggage where to go for the bus?

Figgygirl · 02/11/2011 23:00

Which airport are you flying into? CDG? If you are using the VEA bus have you got tickets already? Adult costs ? 18 child aged 3-11 yrs ? 15. Under 3's are free.
The VEA Disney bus goes from Terminal 2 E/F so depending on where you arrive, you may have to catch the airport shuttle to this Terminal.

If you have not already bought tickets or have them included in your package, you can buy them online on the VEA website, from the VEA ticket desk in Terminal 2 E/F or I think also pay the driver.

Depending on traffic it takes about 45 mins from CDG - Disneyland. I know you are staying in the New York, which is the stop after the Newport Bay, Sequoia Lodge, Santa Fe and Cheyenne hotels. Sometimes buses also stop at the Associated resort hotels as well, after Sequoia Lodge, which would make your journey longer.
If that was the case, I would get off at the Newport Bay, go out of their back exit to the lake, then walk along the lakeside to the New York directly opposite at the other end of the lake. Unless you have heavy luggage to carry or pull, with kids, this would be quicker if the bus is full and stopping at all the other hotels before HNY.
The airport terminals shuttle buses are white. The Disney VEA bus is red.

Figgygirl · 02/11/2011 23:03

For the return trip, Hotel New York is the 3rd pickup stop, after the Disneyland Hotel and the bus station by Chessy railway station.

Geordieminx · 03/11/2011 00:45

Wonderful thanks!

We have our tickets already, otherwise I would have been tempted by a private transfer, but tbh we have plenty of time, we get info CDG early on Sunday morning and don't leave until Wednesday evening.

I see from now on the cost of the coach will be extra, luckily ours was included

Figgygirl · 03/11/2011 16:26

I always thought that the Disney VEA bus was included in hotel / flight packages for no extra cost. However, as it now shows the option to include this or not online, I phoned Disney to ask if I have been charged for it in the past when booking over the phone, as we don't use the vouchers usually - I prefer private transfer.

I was told that they automatically include the VEA and do charge for it - you have to opt out if you don't want it. Very naughty! I said that they should ask people when they book over the phone or with travel agent - not just assume they will use the bus.
The VEA is the official Disney transport, so they obviously want people to use it. Beacause they don't break down the price of flights/ hotel in a package, you don't realise you are being charged for the VEA.

They had included it for my January trip, when I am using ezyshuttle, so I got them to knock it off! They reduced my package price by £ 30.

I was under the impression that the VEA was included in a hotel / flights package for no extra cost, so it makes me cross to think of the times we did not use it!

Live and learn....
