anywhere in Italy

Medea · 12/10/2005 23:15

Cape Cod, on the east coast of the US--would have to be Provincetown or Truro, I think.

soapbox · 12/10/2005 23:17

Yep - cape cod would tick a few boxes - but I think beyond my budget...

Ubud, Bali, but we would need more than a house in order to go back to it often (£££)

Angeliz · 12/10/2005 23:18

princesspeahead, where in Greece are you looking?

princesspeahead · 12/10/2005 23:19

spent 2 weeks in cape cod this summer (truro)... house on the beach costs about $1.5m there!

princesspeahead · 12/10/2005 23:20

have an offer in on some land on an island in the cyclades that my mother is from (not a touristy one)

CountessDracula · 12/10/2005 23:20

Castara, Tobago

except I bet it gets developed soon

Failing that and closer to home I guess France or Wales
TBH I prefer going on holiday to diff. places every time.

Medea · 12/10/2005 23:20

And that's exactly why i don't have a house there!

aloha · 12/10/2005 23:21

Suffolk or Norfolk I think. Easy to get to. Otherwise we'd never go.

aloha · 12/10/2005 23:21

Also fancy a beach hut in Whitstable.

Central Coast, Australia - easy to get into Sydney and good beaches and love Australia

Gulf Coast, Florida - great beaches, could get to Disney, very rentable, downside - hurricanes!

Somewhere in Devon.

Like the sound of Cape Cod, never been but would love to go.

My parents bought a plot in Greece and built too. Many years ago.

soapbox · 12/10/2005 23:25

Jenkel - cape cod is lovely - definately worth a visit.

WWW - I think we would let it out when we are not using it, to fund our holidays to other places!

If supersupersonic flight ever becomes a reality I'd do both Hawaii and Mauritius. But too far otherwise!

Oh beach hut at Mudeford would be perfect too. I wanted to buy one about 13 yrs ago and dh scoffed as they were £20k - one went for £120k recently grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

QueenVictoria · 12/10/2005 23:32

You might be able to get yourself a bijou place in La Manga based on what you offered for your isle of white place. You'd have no trouble renting it when you werent using it.

CountessDracula · 12/10/2005 23:34

isn't it just full of golfing geriatrics though?

tooshyshy · 12/10/2005 23:35

oh I love Mudeford. £120k!!!! I wonder how much one in Sandbanks would cost then.

CountessDracula · 12/10/2005 23:35

you can't sleep in the sandbanks ones though can you?

soapbox · 12/10/2005 23:36

£120k for a beach hut!!!!!!!

OP posts:
doormat · 12/10/2005 23:37

I would buy my own private island in the pacific ocean

tooshyshy · 12/10/2005 23:37

Not sure, dh would know that's where he's from.

Can I have 2? One in the Scottish Highlands and one in Italy near the coast but near lush hills as well with a terrace covered in vines with a huge table for all the family who will sit for hours enjoying my amazing cooking and wit. (Can I get those skills as well ).
