Major, major strop & it's all my fault

Was booked to go to Maderia

Due to a mix up (my fault) we had to change it; Egypt & canaries were mooted as possible destinations. But maybe Egypt as Canaries weren't quite hot enough

But lady on the phone persuaded me to go for Turkey; the Turkish Riviera, Antalya

So stressed & upset about the other holiday and under a certain amount of time-pressure I agreed

I have had time to look at it all now (3 or so weeks later) & Antalya is barely 10 degrees in December

I feel so cheated & it's my own fault

I hate booking sodding holidays

Can you not change?

KatyMac · 14/12/2010 19:46

Too late I thin (I guess)

I'll ring tomorrow but it was a few weeks ago Sad

Try the mis sold line?

KatyMac · 14/12/2010 20:36

TBH I think that would be pushing it after I stuffed up the Madeira booking

But I am well unhappy Sad

I feel such a fool

Tell them you booked Egypt, you have just checked docs and it says turkey. You didn't book turkey, you would never go to turkey, you hate turkey, you booked Egypt. There must have been a clerical error.

KatyMac · 14/12/2010 20:56

No - I think I am totally stuffed

I could cry

DH will be so pissed off

Hey, 19 degrees and sunny on xmas eve! That's not too bad you know, you can definitely paddle (if not swim) in the sea at that temperature. The lows of 10 will be at night.

Travel will be easier. And Turkish food is awesome.

It may not be a blazing hot beach holiday sizzling on sun loungers but the temperature will be great for walks, sightseeing, footy / cricket on the beach etc. If your DH is an arse I'll go with you instead!

geordieminx · 15/12/2010 09:58

Hopefully the will come back and offer you something?

Do you feel like you were mis-sold?

Katz · 15/12/2010 09:58

fingers crossed on the miss-sold then.

If not just think that at least 18C is a lot warmer than the UK at the mo, esp as the UK is about to get colder again.
