Listen - I HEAR YOU!!!! I spent days and nights on this computer searching and searching because I had promised my children a holiday abroad. I looked at On the Beach, 2bookaholiday, greatlatedeals, expedia, lastminute.com, travelzoo. Hours and hours I spent now I have an eye infection!!!!
Don't bother with these search engines - I got nowhere with them and burnt up days I should have been playing with my children. As soon as I tried to book 5 of us in a room they were not available or the price jumped up way over 3k.
BUT we got there and you can learn from me being so stupid. We have got a great deal as a family of five at a platinum Thomson hotel with five stars and a gold medal. We are off in a weeks time - transfers, extra lugggage, two bedrooms, flights, half board all included for 2,400 for one week. Good hotel for children, kids club, mini disco, nice pool but not too geared for kids.
After so much searching I looked on the late deals on the Thomson site - they have a part which says leaving in the next six days.
There were some excellent hotels where you could get two rooms for 2,400 - 2,600 half board. I think we took the last two at our hotel but I know there were excellent deals going at the Guayarmina Princess in Tenerife and also the Bahia Princess and the Riu Ferrera in Benidorm. They were all under 2,500 when I rang. Oh by the way, I rang in the end to book and spoke to a lovely guy - I have his number if you want it. We are going to the Natura Palace in Playa Blanca.
Actually, the Natura Palace is really cheap to book independently on their site and then you could book flight separately. But we wanted ease with Thomson with a bit more to include the transfers etc.
Good luck and don't spend anymore time surfing - it is depressing, bad for your health and frustrating : )))))
