with easyjet you can get to fuerteventura that week for 1,400 and then some of the 3 bed, 2 bath own pool villas are 500 all year (I know cos I've booked one for next year!)

Where would you prefer to fly from, do you want self catering, what destinations were you looking at preferably

actually the flights are 1,600 I did the wrong dates but still under budget and I bet you could find a much cheaper flight place if you fiddled around with it and then you just need to go and find a villa that fits the flights somewhere - Portugal?Turkey?Greek Islands?

Just be carefull booking seperate flights and hotels as you are not covered if the holiday firms go bust. Alot of travel firms are going bust ie goldtrail the other week.

Some firms say they are ABTA or ATOL bonded on the web but they arent so be carefull stick to the thomsons, cosmos, thomascook sites ect be carefull of icelolly, on the beach ect.

If any part of the holiday was to go wrong you would wave your money bye bye.

If you book by credit card you can claim it all back though laughalot. I book with big airlines by credit card and then pay the owner of the villa directly and have never had any problems.

Greece has loads of discounts cos of all the political problems. If you fly direct to one of the islands the political stuff shouldn't affect you. Greece is LOVELY by the way if you haven't been.

Just come back from a week in binibeca no kids club crapola and heavenly beach Def not fancy but hugely relaxing and HOT!!!!!!!!!!

What do you mean - that they go about it being 20 mins from Pollensa??? If so it depends what facilities are where you will be staying, eg are there shops & restaurants or do you need to go into the centre all the time? That might be a pain, even with a hire car or good local transport.

Can you do a link to where the accomodation is? I've never been but have a Rough Guide (long story...) and see what us nearby. I bet there will be some restaurants & shops, so you won't have to go into town every night...

I am technically on Twitter but not sure I've got the hang of it! Have just googled (assuming you have typed the name correctly!) - I think
it will be fine, sounds like there are restaurants all the way along the walk into town. Probably better not to be in the town centre anyway. Think Port de Pollenca is the town you are on the edge of & is pretty much a resort town. Pollenca itself is a few km inland & has more older parts for sightseeing.
