If you had a Time Machine and could spend a day at any point in the past where would you go? I would love to go back to Victorian London and walk around for the day

1987, specifically the day in August when I received my A Level results through the post and knew that I was going to get out of the council estate in the small Derbyshire town in which I grew up and become the first person in my family to go to university. I would give anything for the opportunity to relive it all, including the mistakes.

51 BC for coronation of Cleopatra in Cairo
1961-63 see the Beatles play the Cavern Club in Liverpool

The Roaring Twenties. Oh how I’d love to be a ‘flapper girl’. The beautiful dresses, the art deco jewellery….

Depends if you’re invisible and untouchable or do you get to join in and be part of society for a bit? Also are you immune to germs

Victorian London on Christmas Day.

Only in a wealthy family!

Wow, so many:

Haworth circa 1840 to meet the Bronte sisters.

The 30's and 40's.

1959 - birth of the teenager, a great time to be alive.

Victorian - but as a wealthy lady estate who held balls and soirees on her country estate!

The Elizabethan court.

Georgian era.

Versaille to meet Marie-Antoinette.

France in the 1880s/90s to mingle in the arty quarter - and possr become a muse!

Lovely daydreams!

1967 San Francisco. I'll come back when I come down.

I wish I could.let my intellectual brain answer this and say 18C to see Mozart in action, but really I'd just head to the 40s to try to shag young Orson Welles. Sorry to lower the tone.
Would also quite like to see Rome at its height. I do genuinely think about the Roman Empire about once a week...

I'd go on a massive shopping trip in the 20s, and come back with an immaculate vintage wardrobe.

I’d like to see the building of Stonehenge so then…

I also live in an as yet undated old house
Its in the Doomsday so we think the cellar might be Norman. Then the rest was definitely here by the mid 1300s. So I’d like to be here in my house and watch it develop over the years and see the people here. There’s so many unanswered questions I have about the age of doors, ironmongery, and all sorts. Plus there’s supposed to be a priests hole but it must be a bloody good one as we’ve been here 5 years and still haven’t found it 🤣🤣

Ancient Rome. Middle Ages Britain.

There is a discussion on RM Web at the moment about shunting goods trains at Midford Goods Yard so about 6am on a weekday morning in the 1950's here I come.

July 1967 and the end of Southern steam, racing through Basingstoke at 104mph behind a Merchant Navy in the early hours

Liverpool in the late fifties/early 60s. Or London in the 60s.
