Good luck everyone! Anyone else looking to see which universities have published dropped grades in clearing tonight - just in case!

Well it all went tits up here. Had to go through clearing, secured a place at York for maths. 😔

York is my favourite city…he’ll love it there.
My DC was on a gap year, not sure if I told you he rejected Imperial as just too expensive for us and firmed Warwick.

Sorry to hear this, glad he has secured a good Uni through clearing so quickly though. 😊
DS said that the grade boundaries for Physics were very high this year & whilst he got into his firm choice I think he’s slightly disappointed that he didn’t get grades as high as he was hoping in two subjects.

Another one here where things didn’t pan out as planned and he didn’t get his place at Manchester.., he has however got a place at York via clearing!

Some successes over here, Law in Manchester for one, International Relations at King's for the other. Very relieved!

Success here too. Got her first choice uni. She dropped one grade in one subject but they offered her the place anyway. So excited for her and she’s buzzing. Booked accommodation yesterday afternoon and today she’s been reading all the information on their socials and via the emails uni have sent her.

Hope the excitement is being shared by others from this thread including those whose path had to change after results were not as hoped.

DS fortunately achieved his firm choice grades and will be studying Maths and Physics at Warwick.

DD achieved the grades for her firm choice so will be headed to Imperial to study maths :)

Anyone else with an Edinburgh offer still waiting for accommodation?

There was someone on the Edinburgh parents Facebook page who said the university didn’t get their original application. Did your DC get an e mail saying they were working through the applications? Maybe give them a phone call to check?

We have just called and they are still working through the accommodation offers, they have her application. DD is away all week with limited access to a mobile signal so they have advised that she shares her log in details so we can check her account.

Did your YP get an offer?

Yes it came on Friday or Saturday afternoon. One of her 5 so a big relief all round. Good luck.
