Congratulations all today's offer holders! Have been feeling for you over the stressful weekend. And really feel for those who didn't get an interview. It must feel as if things might have been different in a 'normal' year. I hope you are happy with your other offers, or good luck for a reapplication.
@FlyingSquid lots of good luck to your DC! My DC is a languages fresher. Are you sharing which languages or college?

I’m not sure how much sharing I should do, as it’s her life not mine - just come here to let off a little of the pressure of Not Asking whether she’s checked her emails!

Congrats to @LaundryFairy, @Baaaahhhhh and @321zyx and any others I may have missed. DD is also joining in the celebrations of having got an interview for AMH. She heard mid morning. Will keep my fingers crossed for those still waiting and in particular @bendmeoverbackwards DS as a fellow AMH candidate. Hopefully you won't have to wait much longer.

Looking at the numbers it doesn’t seem like dd has got an interview. They can’t interview everyone

@derekthe1adyhamster Ds's college (not Girton) emailed 26th Nov to say he was on the interview list but that they hadn't finalised it yet but were putting those already chosen out of their misery. His actual invitation for interview came through on 28th.

I believe your son is also applying for CompSci like mine. I take it with a pinch of salt but the spreadsheet is lacking in CompSci numbers.

Ds also got his CTMUA results today, not as great as he would have hoped. However looking at past applicants offered interviews who are sitting CompSci A level they range from 5, mainly 7s and a couple of 8s. It is just one aspect of the application though. Everything counts, GCSEs, A levels plus the supercurriculars.

Hopefully he will hear soon and it will be positive. Has he got any offers from any other unis? I think it does help if they do because they feel that at least one uni is interested but obviously as the deadline is January many unis don't offer this early.

Dd says it’s around 74% selected for interview which seems like good odds. The waiting is awful.

I agree - it is so tough for them to be kept in limbo for ages.

So pleased that lots of people have got good news. Rooting for your DD Jano69, your DS too bendmeoverbackwards. I've already said this, but some colleges are regularly out of sync with the vanguard, by some days. Two of mine definitely thought they weren't getting an invite and then three or four days later.... an invite.

well, a no for dc. She doesn't mind too much, her first choice is London. But will also be tough competition as well....

Very sorry @amadeus1 to hear that. At least, your DD can move forward with her other options. It's a tough process. We are still waiting but I'm sure we'll hear something soon.
