A year where our kids really will have no clue as to what happens next!
Egads.

Nice to catch up with you on this thread.

Dropped dd back off this weekend. Back to a full timetable of lectures and classes. I think 15 hours/week with the choices she's made. Not quite sure. Instead of supervisions, part 3 maths has example classes which are taken in small groups. Then there are the moving on talks and applying for research next year. It looks like a pretty intense year to come. Thankfully she's developed healthy ways of coping with a big workload.

sunndowne it’s a Bristol course, there are fewer options than I thought there would be. He’s really enjoying it so far, a very different challenge to Oxford. The workload is a lot lighter than he’s used to but others on the course are finding it a bit of a struggle. I think he’s finally realised how hard he actually worked over the last three years!

Thank you bake. Do you mind
Explaining why there were fewer options?

Exciting kitten! DD will be very stimulated

(I am a Bristol not Oxbridge (lawyer) mother, but just on the law mentions above, good luck to them. There is a huge shortage of good experienced commercial city lawyers at the moment (we even heard of one offered a £200,000 sign on bonus by a US firm this week - that is unprecedented I think; yet there is still the massive competition to get a training contract with most people failing. So I am not sure how they will deal with that. (I have 2 twin sons doing the Legal Practice Course at the moment and their sisters are solicitors in London).
