Vet Medicine 2021

Hi, wondering whether there any other parents or students on here applying for Vet Med this year to start in 2021? I was following last year's thread which was very useful and informative, and was hoping for a similar thread this year for the rollercoaster ahead, especially now that things might be very different to previous years.

My DS is probably going to be applying to Liverpool, Bristol, Surrey and Nottingham.

Hi everyone, I hope this message comes at a good time!

I'm a final year vet student and I've had loads of questions from prospective applicants regarding the course and life at university in general. Would it be useful to have a Facebook Live session with a panel of students from each vet school to ask all of your questions to? It would be great to know how useful this would be for aspiring vets Smile

Hi Everyone
I booked student accommodation in Sutton Bonington for September 2021. I am thinking of deferring and looking into that now but might buy an apartment for sept 2022, so looking to find someone who might be interested to take the accommodation contract off my hands for September 2021. Already paid deposit etc and am willing to forfeit that to someone interested.

How have everyone's DC got on with their results? DS has got into Liverpool which was his first choice.

Well done to your ds @doistayordoigo. I’m afraid DS fell frustratingly short. He missed out by one grade in his third subject. He doesn’t plan to resit but has a couple of clearing offers he is happy with.

Oh no Colliemayhem that's so disappointing for him Sad Has he contacted the uni to see if they would take him anyway? What courses is he looking at in clearing?

@doistayordoigo he did try but only got through to the clearing line and they said a flat no. He has an offer for the MSci Biology at Southampton which he has accepted and is very happy now.

As long as he is happy with the alternative that's all that matters.
