MNHQ you are failing those of us with trans children. I don't want to go anywhere else, I've been here for a decade. I appreciate both sides of the argument but this is Mumsnet not feministnet.

Whatever happened to informed and respectful debate?

It got replaced by #nodebate.

Needmoresleep · 01/11/2019 10:06

Sorry, "Forget" rather than "For". Slow computer keeps leaving bits out.

And you’re way of thinking HugoSpritz is ‘right’? Hmm

Snowglobes · 02/11/2019 15:50

birdsfoottrefoil exactly this.

YouJustDoYou · 02/11/2019 15:57

How is mn failing parents of trans children?

alreadytaken · 03/11/2019 08:37

seems to me that the trans movement tries to close down any debate by labelling anyone who disagrees with them transphobic - an attitude that encourages opposition.

This is an education board - education is about teaching children to think for themself and hopefully to form opinions based on evidence. The trans movement has yet to show me any evidence for their belief that gender dysphoria is not a mental illness. They are a misogynist movement seeking to reimpose gender stereotypes that I reject.

If it hurts your feelings to be told that your opinions have no rational or scientific basis then mumsnet is not the place for you.

HugoSpritz then you will agree with my post that my daughter is transphobic for not wanting to get undressed in front of a male when changing on her own for swimming in a communal changing room?
