Really well done on the Liverpool offers, I had a feeling it would be good news for you all after DD's early one (because of deferred entry), she found it toughest of the lot but felt having it last helped.
Movingmountains so lots of parents asking the same frustrating questions, I stopped listening after a while. Hilarious asking about what lectures to miss....
DD has decided she won't visit Liverpool again, she has been twice and Liverpool has slipped to third place - because she loves the strong PBL courses on offer at UEA & HYMS. But I think there is lots positive about Liverpool, least of all being in the centre of the city and the new hospital being built close by.
And agree again about choices, but also I like to think that there is something the interviewers can see and are looking for when it comes to future doctors. Common sense, Maturity, Empathy, genuine etc. Having seen two highly academic students get turned away a few years ago, I am sure one lacked the genuine passion and maybe the other was a bit too confident and also interviewed at 2 of the most oversubscribed?
I found positives in every medical school too and as DD & I both said, at the start 'just the chance of one interview and maybe with luck one offer' it was good to know that she would have been very happy with any of her choices.
Now for some more organic chemistry..luckily not me
