Have been wondering the same re. left-handed scissors.

Bump.

RosaLuxembourg · 18/09/2007 13:49

Don't know, but let me know how he gets on - DD3 is lefthanded but so far I have only bought lefthanded scissors and she won't use them.

my ds(13) has never had left handed anythings (he is left handed btw)

TheQueenOfQuotes · 18/09/2007 13:52

I don't think I've ever had left handed anything either - and I'm not a child of the 70's - though my DB was and we're convinced that he is actually lefthanded but was "forced" to write righthanded at school.......

Threadworm · 18/09/2007 13:52

I'm left handed: if is writing is ok I'd leave him as he is. I don't think a l-h pen would help with seeing what he has written.

Can you see what you have written?

L-h scissors might be helpful

MaryAnnSingleton · 18/09/2007 13:53

I Nam a repressed child of the 70s but I seem to have survived in the right handed world....

bozza · 18/09/2007 13:53

Eh cod? What is gifted or talented about being left handed?

TheQueenOfQuotes · 18/09/2007 13:54

ahh bozza - didn't you know that (apparently) there are more artistic (and therefore talented of course ) people who are l-h than r-h????

Tottie32 · 18/09/2007 13:55

i like the look of the pens, dd, has to use gel pens at school????? and she smudges everything......

my dd cant use normal sissors has to have left handed ones

you're right there Queenof...

Tortington · 18/09/2007 13:57

i own a cack hander

i dont consider him to be gifted or tanented by virtue of his cak handedness.

peace and love hippies

NorksDrift · 18/09/2007 13:59

My daughter preferred these.

bookthief · 18/09/2007 13:59

Left-handed scissors are the bollocks.

Although if your scissors are good and sharp it doesn't really matter. I had a permanent groove in my finger as a child from forcing the blades of crappy school "safety" scissors together.

Threadworm · 18/09/2007 14:00

Lefties unite!

TheQueenOfQuotes · 18/09/2007 14:01

those pens on the 2nd link still wouldn't work for me as my "neat" handwriting involved me "curling" my hand around so my fingers and thumb are virtually pointing towards me

christywhisty · 18/09/2007 15:10

My DS 10 has the smove (2nd link) and they work for her. She normally smudges her work as her hand drags across it.The smove stops her doing this.

They are supposed to use the berol handwriting pens at school, but her teacher felt the was enough improvement in her writig for her to be allowed to use the smove.
