Healthy thread focussing on cock and cake finding the method that suits you whilst enjoying some cheery banter and googling obscene veg!

I am Mitts... hello xx

DEM - no worries

DeFluffy - right, you need the vacuum cleaner. Not for you, for the spider! Suck it up woman.

As for your mojo, I get like that too, when I don't have it, I don't miss it.... when I have it, I go mad for it!!!

Would a nice dinner and a bottle of wine relax you into bed??? I'm not saying shag drunk but MrMouse and I have 'date' nights.

We make an effort, cook something we wouldn't normally have and have a bottle or two of something lush.

Yes, DS is usually up til about 9pm but once he's goen to bed, the fun starts as DD crashes out too!!!!

I find the getting started/back into the saddle as it were the hardest bit.

Almost like I can't be arsed, I'm too tired, to stressed, distracted, whatever.......

Could you get a sitter? And maybe get DH to take you out??? Not with a riffle, on a date?

Has any of this helped?

DeFluffy · 30/06/2010 11:49

Bitter, there's just been an announcement on the radio that a 5 year old boy has been eaten alive (slowly) by lions at a zoo...

Mouseface · 30/06/2010 11:49

Defluffy, norty!!!

Alicetheinvisible · 30/06/2010 11:50

Defluff that is mean

DeFluffy · 30/06/2010 11:52

Mouse @ with a rifle.

Yes, I think thats exactly what we need to do, every night I think, oh I'll do it tomorrow night I can't be arsed, I'm tired, I haven't done my legs its toooo hot.

I just need to get back into the saddle. IYSWIM. Think couple of glasses of wine would definitely help, I don't normally drink but I think we both feel a bit 'awkward' as its been so long, we're really nervous of each other. Can't believe it really we used to be crazed with lust. Hes an animal I tell you, an animal

Mouseface · 30/06/2010 11:53

DeFluffy - good, hope you 'get it one' soon!!

Now, say sorry to Bitter and go shave your bits!!!

DeFluffy · 30/06/2010 11:54

I couldn't resist, sorry bitter

Mittz · 30/06/2010 11:55

That is tough Fluffy.. On a light note, some DIY can step up the libido (IME)

But feeling good about yourself is important. If there are other issues they jump on your sex life like parasites and drag it down. It is easy to lose a sense of being a couple and special to each other so I guess trying to make room for that helps. I don't think many people deliberately withhold bedroom privileges as as 'punishment' but if we are unhappy, I think most of us kind of withdraw in that department and thus it can all spiral.
Mr Fluffy maybe misses it and gets grouchy so doesn't relate very well which makes you feel bad and less up to it and so on.
I have rarely been the one with the lower libido, but understand both sides, without being harsh, it is sadly not something that will fix itself. I the end it can become the cliched elephant in the room.

Having a high drive is actually pretty miserable sometimes, it's like being hungry but never getting anything to eat. Folk often seem to think it is selfish but it ain't something you choose. It's a bit like feeling broody I guess (which oddly I have never felt). It's the body trying to say something.

I am studiously trying to ignore it at the moment due to current nooky prohibition but heaven help the poor feller who breaks my fasting .

Jet, you naughty, lovely girl
Have just had some gorgeous flowers delivered, thank you, you shouldn't have!!!

Bitter, I think I am the most unphotogenic person ever, Trills spent ages trying to get a good snap of me where I wasn't gurning, don't think she managed it

Aww - Lizzy, that is so nice!

Jet - how fab are you!

DeFluffy - I meant 'get it on' BTW, not one!!!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/06/2010 12:10

Defluff - I deserved that!

Lizzy, I am sure I could out-ugly you on the photo stakes after a four hour makeover while you had just finished a four hour run.

The camera hates me.

DF, hope you get back in the saddle. When they made you, they broke the mould.

(And rumour has it they then fired the mould-maker)

DeFluffy · 30/06/2010 12:13

saf/miitz - we've definitely got out of the habit and also out of the habit of doing things together in general.

Having the baby up till 10 each night isn't helping. She sleeps through but won't go to sleep till 10ish then doesn't wake up to about 9.30. I know I should wake her up earlier but im so knackered with dd1 coming in anytime from midnight to 6am that I like the lie in once she's gone to school.

Just need to make more of an effort and make time for each other I think. Might try to blag some babysitting at weekend.

Has Bitter gone off to collect the remains of her DS?? Not much left I wouldn't have thought...

Right - lunch x

DeFluffy · 30/06/2010 12:15

Bitter

Mittz · 30/06/2010 12:16

To be honest, I found taking an MN break made me feel worse, isolated and missing the banter and what's going on in other peoples lives...
But please bear with me if I am an emotional YoYo... DS is a mess, has written some stuff about suicide and keeps breaking down, I am struggling but trying....

OP posts:
BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/06/2010 12:18

DF, definitely worth making the effort.

With DH and I working around each other we can sometimes feel like co-workers rather than husband and wife.

That's what we are here for, dummy.

Feel free to rant, if people can put up with my waffle...

Mouseface · 30/06/2010 12:21

DeFluffy - Don't get her up earlier, she's 6 months old IIRC? She needs to have her own routine at this age, let her guide you.

Yes, 10pm is a little late, maybe you could try putting her down earlier and letting her settle herself to sleep? Have you tried that? Is she in with you, DD1 or in her own room?

[nosy]

DS doesn't go to bed until 9pm due to his last tube feed being at 7.30pm and needing time to settle. He sleeps until 9am most days when I get him up for his first feed with wakings in between. I tried to move him around a while ago and it was hell!!! It completely threw him.

DD2 will change when she's ready and IMO you should let that be. Not like she has to go to school or anything....

LizzyLOU · 30/06/2010 12:22

Oh Mittz, it is a tough time for all of you, does he talk to you about his feelings?
We're all here for you

Fluffy, babysitter, wine, have a bath together (making sure you've already defluffed) and shags aplenty I think. Release the beast.

God SAF - you've just described my favourite mornings in the Mouse house.

I love lazy morning spooning that leads to a sheet shuffle before any DCs wake.....
