This is our gazillionth thread.

We are not quite as evil as some make out.

We try to lose weight, eat healthily, stuff like that.

Here is our mascot

Morning Alice.

Get the calpol out girl, honestly a spoonful will sort anything out for DD (or was it for you ). I never ever had any hesitation in giving mine a spoonful if they grizzled.

Ignore the plastic donkey if it goes behind the sofa again.

Sounds like you had a great night.

wastingaway · 26/06/2010 08:30

Morning Bella and Alice.

Is the plastic donkey metaphorical?

Like a monkey on the shoulder?

Glad you had a good time Alice.

BELLAvita · 26/06/2010 08:35

I think maybe Alice's DD keeps chucking it behind the settee and keeps asking mummy to get it out?

TotalChaos · 26/06/2010 08:35

I shall take being mistaken for yank as a complement

sounds like a fun wild night at the rink DEM!.

One of my friends from another forum is a burlesque dancer, I keep meaning to go and see her perform but haven't quite got round to it - lots of fb piccies of her burlesqued up in corsets - she has a fab figure, so hell I'ld be flaunting it in her shoes . I like the whole Dita von Teese attention to detail/all the matching accessories type of style. My only interest in fashion/style is in a group up version of playing barbies sort of way

TotalChaos · 26/06/2010 08:37

alice - oh lord, soft play on a saturday morning - make sure you rest on your arse and let other people do any running after DD, you promise?

Alicetheinvisible · 26/06/2010 08:40

Yes it is a plastic farm animal.

Teletubbies on for the time being, so will keep her quiet (and out of my way while i try to feel vaguely human)

Looks like it might rain here, i hope it does.

Have a good day all

wastingaway · 26/06/2010 08:40

Bella, I thought so, but Alice has such a lovely turn of phrase.

Morning Total.

Right, I'm having a busy day today doing jobs. See you later!

TotalChaos · 26/06/2010 08:41

my mates burlesque blog, if anyone is interested"-

Goober · 26/06/2010 09:13

Morning you lot.
Am taking DD off to her mate's house in a bit, then going to Argos to buy our first ever gas BBQ. Vaaaayyyyyy excited.
And later I will be consuming much Aspall cider again.

Mouseface: Last night was amAYzin!!!! I love her now!

LizzyLOU · 26/06/2010 09:38

Good morning
At work, it's hot and my tits have shrunk!
Honestly, lay in bed this morning they looked like two shrivelled empty bags.
Thighs are still humungous though
So now I am a fat bird with no tits!

Calpol, Alice and pehaps some for you as well if you have soft play to get to!

Watched a shit DVD last night "Jumpers" sooo bad. DH is not allowed control of the Lovefilm orders now.

BELLAvita · 26/06/2010 10:00

Lizzy - welcome to my world of having to shrivelled empty bags!!!

Right, needs must - sunshine is calling!

Mittz · 26/06/2010 10:27

Morning all

DC's just gone with their Dad

Feeling perky, am going to hoover and then water the garden before it is too hot up there,

Hey ladies, don't knock the smaller proportioned boobaloobas.. it ain't what you've got its what you do with it that counts

Take care Alice, I would give DD calpol if you think you are fending off something.

LizzyLOU · 26/06/2010 12:15

You're all enjoying the sunshine, aren't you?

yay for perky Mittz

Vinny is having a lovely weekend with the Finnster in this gorgeous weather, eh?

It's not the size of the baps that is concerning me, it's the sort of shrivelled up ness of em. Ah well, keep with the exercise and am sure Gillian will shred me a new pair.

PortiaNovmerriment · 26/06/2010 12:21

Hi Lizzy- I've just been chasing dd2 round all morning, but really need to get on with stuff now her dad has picked her up. I took a detour via an AIBU thread that sounds like a crock of shit to me, but won't waste any more time on it.

I'm hoping to gut my bedroom and get it ready for lovely trinkety things later, because I've found an amazing shop full of shabby-chic tat sparkly gorgeousness and knick-knacks.

I did the garden up some more yesterday and bought a planter shaped like a giant tea-cup- it's lovely! I will take a picture in a sec.

wastingaway · 26/06/2010 12:21

Sunshine Lizzy? I've got very bright clouds here.

I've been doing tidying and sorting and dusting and moving things around, by myself, while listening to music.

I am in heaven.

ooh Portia I love a bit of shabby chic and trinkets, your planter sounds fab.
You and Wasting are being all domestic today, that is my job tomorrow morning.
Wasting, it is sunny here but humid, am having ibuprofen as my head feels bit mushed up.
Am eating salad, feels fab to be eating something green at last!
Off to check out dodgy AIBU thread......

wastingaway · 26/06/2010 12:29

I've just had a salad too, with ham and pickled onion flavour cheese. Yum!

Sounds good Saf.

Portia, will you post pics of shabby chic bedroom?

PortiaNovmerriment · 26/06/2010 12:35

Ok then, wasting- it will force me to do the tidying: you're on

LizzyLOU · 26/06/2010 12:37

Am loving your work on that thread, Portia. How do you manage to write like that? Your comment was fab
Agree with you btw.

SAF, sounds lovely. Bonkers about the volunteering, my mate ran volunteering charities for years, she always bemoaned the lack of volunteers, that was North wales.
Have you spoken to your Health Visitor? A friend up here is becoming a Breast feeding councillor type advisor, after her HV asked her to (she struggled to BF with her 1st and now has been BFing her second for over a year). I know that the NHS is getting more volunteer people for these type of roles as they can't afford to pay staff to do it regularly.

Wasting, it is truly lovely to be eating something that is not fish or meat

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 26/06/2010 12:49

Afternoon.

I am sick of this diet already! It doesn't help that DH keeps eating as a 'snack' things that i had planned to last one or two meals!

Today I have eaten a lowfat yoghurt, and for lunch I had a 'salad' of roll mop herring and prawns with pickled onion. It made me realise it issn't the flavour I am getting bored with, it's the fact everything is the same texture! I miss crunch!

I have some chicken breasts in the fridge (assuming DH hasn't eaten them for a 'snack') I am tempted to really overcook mine, just so I get some crispy bits.

On a plus, I have lost another 1.5 pounds, so that's 3.5 in 2 days. I will see it out, Monday is my last day of attack phase.

Alicetheinvisible · 26/06/2010 13:12

I am back. Alive!

The Dukan sounds like such hard work. Glad it is having good results for all of you though. I think it would make me miserable!

Soft play was great actually. It is basically a huge bouncy castle in a sports hall, with little tikes type climbing frames on soft matting, some huge soft shapes, and then ride on cars/bikes/tractors etc round the outside so could just leave DD to it. She is exhausted so will be put to bed this afternoon

It is cheap too, so may take her there when she is driving me mad!

Now sat on sofa in my pants and a vest with pint of orange sqaush and crushed ice and the fan on

Look forward to seeing peoples pics later

BELLAvita · 26/06/2010 13:18

Alice - you survived! . Yay for pants and vest!

Been to the pub. DS2 and I had dressed Scarborough crab salad, was really lush. DS1 had homemade burger with skinny chips and that looked good too. DS2 had fat chips and I had some new potatoes.

Did you enjoy your salad Lizzy?

Mittz · 26/06/2010 13:20

Love the planter Portia, you have a lovely sense of style

The thread does look very odd but sadly I do know of someone who still fed her child mashed food (and spoon fed them) by the time he was of school age.

I have a large salad to eat at some point but am still not really hungry. I might go for a walk/run and see if some exercise gives me an appetite. Had to go back to bed with some painkillers for an hour as head is thrumming.

I just couldn't do the Dukan diet as I don't really like meat all that much, but admire those of you who are doing it and with such success.

Intermittent bright clouds here also.

Right, that's it, I'm going to sort a few things out and then go for a hike.

PortiaNovmerriment · 26/06/2010 13:23

I've got my little garden (well, yard) pic up now. Shall buy storage crates and clear some shite out of the bedrooom later- I seem to have a blanket chest so full that it won't close yet I only use the sets I can get to at the top of the pile. And why do I have so much laundry that it sits clean in baskets permanently, yet I hardly have a thing to wear? One of life's great mysteries!
