This is our gazillionth thread.

We are not quite as evil as some make out.

We try to lose weight, eat healthily, stuff like that.

Here is our mascot

I'm going to go and have a nervous breakdown.

DD has just given me her last school report.

I will be back later tonight.

Maybe.

BELLAvita · 25/06/2010 15:42

Well done junior with the blood test.

Mittz, are you feeling better?

Alice, you must rest and eat >

DEM have you finished all your jam making?

Trills, you will look absolutely stunning in that dress.

Mmmm corned beef and branston pickle sandwiches - yum!

My washing machine is poorly man came out this afternoon said he couldn't fix it. MrBella quite happy for me to order another machine, but I need one today. He goes away tomorrow first thing and is not back until Sunday afternoon. He just does not understand that I need one now there is a pile of washing waiting to be done (even though I did a pile yesterday and the day before and the day before that....). If I order one it will be next week before they can deliver and oh guess what, I am doing nearly full days all next week at work so who is gonna flamin' well be here to take delivery of the machine? Tell me that eh! He just does not understand that it is like losing my right arm.

AArrGGGHHHHH DD is driving me mad! I managed 10mins snoozing, but she is jumping on my bed, pouring water from her cup onto my pillow then licking it off horrid child little darling.

Trills - get the dress. It is one i saw in a thread a few weeks ago and loved.

DidEinsteinsMum · 25/06/2010 15:46

Bella!!!!!!!!!!!

Good to see you!

Sorry been awol in the lego hell that used to be a dining table.

Yep last batch of strawberry made. Hoping that there will be raspberries in a couple of weeks to made raspberry jam. And then it will be crap apple jelly and plum jam in august. Might be another attempt at rhubarb jam too. Will see how the rhubarb recovers.

BELLAvita · 25/06/2010 15:48

Good to see you too!

Mmmmm I love jam on hot buttery toast.

DidEinsteinsMum · 25/06/2010 15:50

Alice - could you try a tepid bath with dd. Ie - sit on chair dangling feet into bath. dd- plays in the water thus minimal work?

Alicetheinvisible · 25/06/2010 15:51

Hey Bella

DEM - rhubarb and ginger jam is fab

wastingaway · 25/06/2010 15:51

Yum DEM! I got some lovely preserves at Portmeirion. They sold lots of equipment and books too and it was hard holding myself back.

Bella, what a pain it is. We were without a wm for a few weeks just before we moved. Lugging it in black bags on the pram to ILs.
It did train me to get more wear out of some items though. Silver linings.

Alice, you must dress her up as Minnie the Minx for fancy dress at the first opportunity.
Have you got anything messy she can do in the garden?

Alicetheinvisible · 25/06/2010 15:53

DEM - my bathroom is currently a warzone. Plumber/bathroom fitter is swearing at tiles and shower fittings

DD has got her favourite soft toys now and playing some verytechnical game with them. I just wish i had her energy!

BELLAvita · 25/06/2010 15:55

Wasting, I do not have any family near by. There is a launderette but it is on the way into town and I have got three huge sopping towels sat in a washing up bowl from last night.

wastingaway · 25/06/2010 16:06

Oh eck. I suppose if you got them dried out it would be easier to transport.

DidEinsteinsMum · 25/06/2010 16:07

Challenge the ds' to have a twisting tug of war with towels - thus achieving wringing out with minimal you effort ?

I am now in scanner hell... I will be here a while... but shower, school disco and skating are planned as a nice break from the sodding blooming feet killing pieces of alledged fun.

BELLAvita · 25/06/2010 16:11

If I don't get a new machine tonight, then the wringing out of towels will fall to DH...

I am stressy and really need some chocolate.

DidEinsteinsMum · 25/06/2010 16:18

Sorry I ate my stash the other night. Can offer reindeer pasta and sausages. Ketchup optional.

BELLAvita · 25/06/2010 16:22

That'll do DEM! Yes to ketchup!

trilliAnasTra · 25/06/2010 16:23

Skittles are all I have to offer, but maybe you re too sophisticated for brightly-coloured sweets

OP posts:
Alicetheinvisible · 25/06/2010 16:29

Ooh skittles.

Have been doing research as to which sweets i need for in labour and never considered skittles. Tried some mini percy pigs the other day - very good.

BELLAvita · 25/06/2010 16:29

Trills - moi too sophisticated for skittles I will take anything that is on offer >

Alicetheinvisible · 25/06/2010 16:32

Jelly tots? Then you can lick the sugar out of the bag afterwards

BELLAvita · 25/06/2010 16:35

You are my kinda gal Alice

trilliAnasTra · 25/06/2010 16:39
OP posts:
trilliAnasTra · 25/06/2010 16:39

So, labour requires sweets does it?

OP posts:
BELLAvita · 25/06/2010 16:44

Purple ones are the best imo!

I have just tore the corner of a crust of bread and slathered it with chocolate spread was delish!

Right then, tell me which are the best washing machines please (I have heard the Miele ones are but I cannot afford to pay £900 for a machine)

Alicetheinvisible · 25/06/2010 16:46

Red and green ones are my favourite.

Apparently Trills, obviously where i went wrong last time

Bella - we have an indesit, its shite. I think Bosch are meant to be a very good make, we have a Bosch dishwasher and it is very sturdy.
