We are not quite as evil as some make out.

We try to lose weight, eat healthily, stuff like that.

Here is our mascot

Hi Mittz, sorry you are not sleeping well.

That does sound a bit odd, but perhaps she is not sure whether to go out for a meal or something?

Mittz · 24/06/2010 09:45

Dunno Bitter.. they don't go out like that. I said sat or sunday would be fine, (Mums birthday is the Thursday) although sat easier with buses. Should be my wedding anniversary on the saturday so a bit , all feels a bit weird. DC's Dad had announced he is going away (it is his birthday also as we got married on his birthday) but won't tell anyone where and for exactly how long. Kids are under the impression he 'might go to wales or just wander into the woods'.

Suppose I should go with the flow. But I'm not sure which way everybody is flowing IYSWIM.

hellsbelles · 24/06/2010 09:47

just having a quick treat (MN!). I used some hair removal cream on my legs while DD was taking her nap and of course I have come out in a big rash. I should have expected it of course and I'm sure it'll be gone by t/m

Mitts - that is out of order. They are just not thinking.

Bitter - good luck on the dukan!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 24/06/2010 09:48

Sorry Mittz, in that case I don't know. Could you just ask her outright?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 24/06/2010 09:58

Morning all.

Mitz sorry about the non sl;eeping and that sounds weird about your mother.

DEM or shall I just call you Delia.

Hells hope you are OK today.

Mouse hope the physio isn't to painful.

Well the sun is shining here. DD has her penultimaet settling in session today at school and was very disappointed wehn i said I had to stay today.

The 2 Tom's are doing a great job in the garden aided buy Kieran and now Glen. DH spoke to FIL yesterday and he is going to lean on BIL to start paying back the money. Turns out that BIL now has a job in Abu Dhabi and we are concerned that once he gets over there he will forget about the money he owes to us, funnily enough we haven't heard from him for awhile. Everything seems to be OK in his world so no one else matters.

Have you got anything with Aloe Vera in it Hells? That is very good for soothing skin problems especially if you actually have a plant..

Dad especially can be strange. He did it to all of the extended family as well to the point that we lost contact with most of them by the time I was in my teens. Suppose I thought I was special as their daughter.

What are you wearing tomorrow Hells?.. sorry if you have linked and I have missed it.

Alicetheinvisible · 24/06/2010 10:01

Morning

Mittz - very strange

Cat seems to have turned feral

Morning, tis me, Mouseface.

Mittz - I'm starting with you. You're not being daft in terms of your folks being vague. It sounds like they aren't thinking about what they say to you and how it may make you feel. I felt the way you did when I read it IYKWIM..... almost like why wouldn't they jump at the chance to see you all.......

Sorry to hear you're not sleeping and fretful of late. Would a warm bath and candles help? Don't be so hard on yourself. You are aloud to be stressed you know and the good thing is that you realise you are. Always here for a rant!

Lizzy - Veg sounds good, I hate no veg in my diet. I love salad and have it with or as at least one meal a day!!

Hells - Good luck with avoiding the tantrums! Where are you going, clearly I've missed something!

Bitter - Good luck with Dukan!

Fanny - Fingers crossed for you getting your money back.

Double - You are more than welcome to demonstrate your cleaning abilities here too!!

Last night I was Fidgit McFidgit Pants of Old Fidgit Town....... I just couldn't get comfy! Drove me nuts so I ended up wandering around in the dark for a bit. I got to 'proper' sleep half an hour before the alarm went off. Oh well!!!

OMG, have you seen the NICE thread? Someone is saying that smoking while pg causes autism and it is turning into a right old slanging match (quite rightly) Someone called W e e t a b i x. Obviously someone is bored.

Alicetheinvisible · 24/06/2010 11:05

SAF - get back on scrabble!

SAF - it's 3 now. I may have to get some bloomin Nytol at this rate, or something, anything.....

DH is going to have to let me sleep one night this weekend and be on DS duty ......

I'm past exhausted.

Mouseface · 24/06/2010 11:26

Alice - YIKES!!! Am reading through that thread.......

Alicetheinvisible · 24/06/2010 11:27

It just shocks me, that there are such posters on MN (i know it probably is a troll)

I like threads that have controversial views on them, but that have been well thought out and presented iyswim, it makes you think.

Mouse - no sleep is rubbish

Mouseface · 24/06/2010 11:37

I wanted to ask WW is she/he/it banged their head before they posted that.

Like the VicD thread the other day. It's the way the OP is worded.

Light the blue touch paper and stand well back is a phrase I want to use every time I see something like that.

Idiots.

Anyway, off to physio and hydro now.

Back later, hope you're ok today? xx

Mittz · 24/06/2010 12:13

Being tired doesn't help anything does it Mouse? (and anyone else) My folks are strange sometimes, Will make other plans for a reserve,

I don't often go on threads like that, way out of my comfort zone.

How are you Alice?

TotalChaos · 24/06/2010 12:19

Afternoon ladies, 3 cups of coffee and the world seems a slightly more manageable place. did the opticians so have treated myself to some new prescription sunglasses, first time I've ever had any in over 20 years of glasses. I put myself in the hands of the v. pretty young girl, and let her choose the frames!

that smoking thread trollocks had a daft punkish style I thought - all this - Oh I'm not PC stuff. I can't be arsed to engage usually with out and out nonsense.

Mitts - sorry folks are so vague, DH's family can be like that too, v. set in their ways, so that despite not working, they don't like to rearrange shopping/hairdressers etc .

Mousey - mwah - glad appointment went OK apart from the crap receptionist.

Fanny - give feckless BIL a kick in the balls from me.

jetcat · 24/06/2010 13:24

wasting - christopher eccleston naked you say[shock - lordie i wish i had of been there

DEM - i love homemade jam, and crab apple jelly Cant beat the real thing.

Mittz - take care, am here if you need anything

I know i keep dipping in and out a lot, sorry, just got a lot on right now. But, to ask a favour, i have posted herre if anyone can be bothered to sort out the mess that is bloomin family relationships

DeFluffy · 24/06/2010 14:32

trilliAnasTra · 24/06/2010 14:57

I don't think I'll be able to help you with that one but you have my sympathies DeFluff
