Saf, I'm the same, I never carry cash so have been caught out on more than one occasion when somewhere doesn't accept cards.

What are you doing this afternoon? I am off to work soon. Boo.

Well, I have already drunk 1 and a half litres of water today - so I've got that part of the Dukan right.

I hate Saturdays, they are always so Meh.

VinegarTits · 19/06/2010 16:14

SAF i have been there too, i took all our lose change to Adsa and put it through the change machine the other week just so we had some spending money for our little holiday

i am having steak with dukan mayonnaise, and have jsut made some vanilla pots and put then in the fridge for later

jetcat · 19/06/2010 16:19

afternoon all

made it to ikea, bought some trofast boxes, and i think i have figures out what housing units to get Made a start with sorting out mini's room - she was way too much crap!

What with all the stress over the exam, i forget to mention that mini has been referred to the paeds consultant. I have always known she was small, and everyone comments on how tiny she is, so at her 3 year check on Tuesday, i got the HV to measure her. Turns out she has only grown 2 cm in a year, and has dropped right down the centiles on the chart.

Its at times like this i hate my family history, as i cant answer any genetic questions Her weight has remained steady though, so not too worried Well, maybe a little!

jetcat · 19/06/2010 16:25

saf - i am lucky, i make junior pay with all the change

jet i had similar worries with the finnster, he is very small and was referred to a genetics consultant as they suspect he has hypercondraplasia (mild form of dwarfish/small stature)

However his skeletal x-rays contradict what the consulant thinks as they came back normal, but it was such a worry though having to go through all the tests

however, at the end of the day, he is happy and healthy, and even if he is small it will not affect his health in anyway

Try not to worry too much, as with little ones, they can suddenly have a growth spurt and shoot up in front of your eyes!

Just back from Kimmeridge. Sorry Crispy no sign of the hat. We had a lovely time, the sea was a bit chilly but it didn't bother the children, can't beleive we were there for over 3 hours and not one of them complained they were bored.

jetcat · 19/06/2010 16:53

i think you're both right, and it will be just a delay (fingers crossed). She is only 93 cm, at 3 and a half. Does that sound small? I know she is tiny compared to her friends at nursery, but they are mostly older and boys.

You may have to hold me back here - junior has just gone out on her very first paper round Tis only round our streets, but i am so nervous for her. I am desparately trying to hold off from taking mini out for walk to go and find her - make sure she is managaging ok. But as i am hoping this will increase her confidence somewhat, i dont think me following her around will help

Luckily the newsagent knows her well, and has already said he wont overload her Bless her though, she feels so grown up

Mouseface · 19/06/2010 16:56

She'll be fine. How old is she?

I was 13 when I first did mine. I loved feeling important, I was delivering the news!!

jetcat · 19/06/2010 16:57

sorry, posted too soon

Vinny, glad the finnster is ok, that must have been such a worrying time.

Saf - its hard isnt it, not knowing. I keep imagining all kinds, particularly with junior (esp the kidney problems side of things). Was your DS ok after his fit? Junior had a massive fit back in 2006 (the only one she has ever had, well apart from febrile ones as a baby). Like you, loads of tests, but couldnt find a cause. Looking back, they think that was the start of the kidney trouble

Bloomin kids eh, nowt but worries

thanks mouse She is 13, but due to dyspraxia and poss aspergers, she is a young 13 in a lot of respects. But, newsagent said he will print up a list of street names for her, so she can wander round following her list as she does when she goes to tesco

She is trying to save up for various school trips - which is amazing in that she actually wants to go I have said if she can manage to pay for a third, i will pay for the rest. She is working so hard at it bless her, so if anyone has any ideas of how she can earn extra dosh - i would appreciate it

jetcat · 19/06/2010 17:05

glad he was ok saf.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 19/06/2010 17:08

Right you 'orrible lot, I am off to work.

Have a nice evening.

jetcat · 19/06/2010 17:36

yay she's back

£1.50 for delivering papers to 3 streets - you would think she's just won the lottery!

Aww. Yay for Junior Jet!!!

Mittz · 19/06/2010 17:44

LO worries are harrowing aren't they?

My niece is tiny Jet and has been 'observed', I think they insinuated something about her Mum at one point but were very off the mark. She makes up for it though. Tiny delicate thing with the personality of mini atilla the hun!

I fell asleep. For 2 hrs Well if I am either running or asleep, I won't be eating much I suppose.

Weirdy man apologised. He went to get a pint to take home, but the pub was knee deep in customers due to the traction engine pull. Which is entirely feasible, but if he thinks he's going on my christmas card list, he can whistle dixie. I still don't like him. So there.

Water, yes. Am usually pretty good but need to top up today. Has anyone got any jump leads, I am whacked?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 19/06/2010 17:46

DD was a lot taller than that at your DD's age but then she is an elephant and is a lot taller than a lot of children she is starting school with, some are smaller than others, I had one freind whose dauther didn't hit 9kg until over 18 months. Well done on your other DD getting a newspaper round.

thanks guys, though i must admit it is easier for her than some, as she has relatively minor sn in the scheme of things.

Mittz - i think that is my worry. I am so scared of people coming in and saying that i am not coping/ parenting well enough that they will use her lack of growth as an excuse to remove them

jetcat · 19/06/2010 17:54

fanny - when she got weighed at the same time, she was 15.6kg. That is on the same centile as it has always been, though i am not sure how it all works, and surely that means she will be growing outwards rather than upwards

Junior isnt doing a regular round yet, she is just on the casual list in case anyone phones in sick (which was a joint decision between myself and newsagent, as that way we could see how she managed the first couple of rounds). She is out to imress though - as she wants to go 'full time'
