I was thinking about you today because you're in SUCH a similar state of mind as I was when I started this quit (which, I add, has VERY nearly failed today ...). And I was remembering a little mental exercise that helped me. Instead of thinking about all the reasons NOT to smoke, think of all the reasons you WANT to. Write them down. They'll probably include:

Pleasure
Habit
Helps with stress
Feels like it's part of your identity

Well, anyway, you do the list. Post it on here even. then analyse all those reasons endlessly and slowly the all begin to fall apart.

MML, I'm still aghast at what that 'friend' of your boss did but I do think it's your boss's duty to support and defend you, and not to even think about reading very personal material sent to her in malice. There are supposed to be ethics in people management (sounds rather po-faced but I hope you know what I mean - you're meant to treat people decently and with respect).

Yes, partly them, but also I read an article in a Sunday paper which featured a little girl called Fauve, and I thought it was a fabulous name. Also I'm a Leo, and Fauve means 'wild beast'
