Thank goodness for that Crispy

DEM - the melatonin may not be helping the night training - sure I've heard a few people find melatonin linked to their kids bedwetting. starting to wish I had asked for melatonin at the one and only paed appointment 2 years ago

bitter - mine is like that as well - uber lively and sociable - hard to tell re:cleverness with him tbh because of the language delay, which has had a knock on effect in terms of discussing abstract concepts. oh and no hurry re:benefit, whenever is convenient.

Thanks ladies.

I love him so much but really find him a handful.

Then he will turn around and say something that either melts my heart or makes me pmsl.

Glad I'm not the only one then.

DidEinsteinsMum · 16/06/2010 22:05

That is what i had heard. but with the family history not worried anyway. boys are very late on the paternal side 10 and 13 type late well will have to see. poor soul fell out of bed.

Bitter at least he is a normal little boy who likes to have fun. mine is discussing GCSE's and donig them early I have put my foot down and said i wont discuss until he is ten and emphasised the down side of doing early. He is not emotionally ready for gcse ffs he is 5 not 15. so it is home school every day after school now. this is why he watches stupid amounts of tv per week. why can he just not play. why does everything have to be learning or investigation Promised we will disect a kidney this week if he is good. he loves the idea. Project for the summer is the body. actuallysecretlypleaserightnowdidstartpgcealthoughnotthinkingaboutthenotfinishingpart.

TotalChaos · 16/06/2010 22:05

oh yes, I identify with that - as I say to DH, just as I am about to consider listing DS on ebay, he will suddenly start being cute and charming again .

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 16/06/2010 22:12

I'm considering swapping him for Saf's DS, but I don't think she'd go for it - plus I'd think I had gone deaf.

unfortunately we have done both. the magic kit has been disgarded for now as he can do what he can do well and is not dextrous enough for the rest and science kits we have done til it comes out of my ears. plus it has to be very very full on all the time. when ds is not watching the tv it has to be helicopter parenting for the safety of boy, man, beast and building. he is plan dangerous when bored. 10 mins in the garden this afternoon and the iris had had it, he'd identified 5 different types of larva in the suppose to be a sand pit makeshift pond, kill 2 bean plants, tried to get on the roof, eaten crumble, jump onto and off table multiple times, created a few rainbows and swept the path.

Basically, he has my energy with a very short attention span. very dangerous combination. those on the meetup will understand .

Needless to say it is pretty crazy round here.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 16/06/2010 22:27

Shame mine can't even pull it off in public!

Valium, you say?...

Mouseface · 16/06/2010 22:27

Have I got all of this to come? Are DSs worse than DDs?

My DD was an angel in every way and I always felt like - any minute now, any minute..........

I got your address SAF.

You ok now Bitter?

Dem, he sounds like mine but with the dials turned up to 11, you have my empathy

Iggisfulloftayto · 16/06/2010 22:30

Hello, just posting as I find I'm only managing to lurk this week. By the time I've caught up on the reading everything's moved on again. Been trying to be good at work and not log on much (still scared after VTs experience tbh)

DidEinsteinsMum · 16/06/2010 22:31

Right i am going to be up uber early (still not got round to lining curtains so can have some dark - ds has fllen out of bed once already tonight, and sounds like he is up and crying. Expecting a disturbed night.

Have a good one. Night!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 16/06/2010 22:32

Mousie, I'm fine. I'm just a mardy cow who needs to vent occasionally, feel free to ignore.

Mouse, you probably should do sometimes, it would be in your best interests.

Saf - I think that more than clash, DS and I are both similar - short fuse, quickly forgotten.

Unfortunately, we are both stubborn and both like things to go our own way.
