Bella, my contract ran out about 6 months ago, so in theory I could upgrade.

Thing is, I don't use my mobile much so I'm stuck between doing the sensible thing and going on to PAYG or signing up for another 2 years and paying a higher monthly fee just to get my shiny new toy.

Alicetheinvisible · 16/06/2010 19:57

Just had a pizza express frozen pizza and oven chips, and drinking a Peroni (hoping it will make the baby sleep )

Think i am going to have a soak in the bath and an early night, so hope everyone has a good one

hellsbelles · 16/06/2010 19:57

Bitter - DS was exactly the same when I forced got him to do thank you cards at a similar age. Your boy is a classic though - I love the things he comes out with!

Portia - who's been mean to you...I will check. And while we are on the subject of your gorgeousness...I couldn't stop staring at you on Sat because you really are as pretty as your picture...which I didn't think was possible!

Mitts- yeah for chin ups. I have NEVER managed even one.

Lizzy - how's it all going on Dukan? Are you holding up.

SAF - glad the dentist finally seems to be doing something.

Waves to Bella, Gigi and Vinny (and anyone I've managed to miss!)...I'm off to find out who's been mean to Portia.

DidEinsteinsMum · 16/06/2010 19:57

snort. clever little buggers arent they. ds looked that the no touch soap dispenser and its claim to not bacterial and said "but there is some bacteria mummy, there has to be some" my was meet with "well you have to put the soap into the dispenser which means there willbe some bacteria on it cos you have to touch it do that". Where do these kids get their understanding from

hellsbelles · 16/06/2010 19:58

oops - meant to say - DEM - clever you.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 16/06/2010 19:58

bellavita · 16/06/2010 20:00

I don't have mine on contract Bitter. I get free internet and something else or other for a year, then I only need to top up £10 per month when the year is up to get free tinter etc.

TotalChaos · 16/06/2010 20:03

well I don't even know what a chin up is, so suspect I'm not at that level yet

vinny - no such thing as a basic iphone, they are all luvverly new toys

waves back at tigga

bella - how lovely re:lottery, can't imagine I'ld be happy being publicly id'd if I did win (not that I expect will ever have that dilemma LOL)

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 16/06/2010 20:03

Yes, but how much did you have to pay upfront Bella? I don't think I could afford to fork out for the phone in a lump sum.

TBH, The only reason I've kept my contract so long is because I see it as paying for a new phone every 18 months or so in installments, if that makes sense?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 16/06/2010 20:06

TC - will be posting your benefit tomorrow.

Sorry to leave it so late, but I need to go to the post office tomorrow anyway to post my nephews birthday present so I thought I'd save myself the extra trip.

VinegarTits · 16/06/2010 20:13

the iphone i have ordered is £25 a month, i spend that topping mine up most months, its only 100 mins but its unlimited texts, and i am more of a texter than a talker so will barely use the mins anyway

CrispyTheCrisp · 16/06/2010 20:16

Evening

Lovely afternoon having picnic and wandering round westonbirt arboretum in the sunshine. DD's well behaved and i even managed some grown up conversation with my friend . Well, until DD1 decided to drop her knickers and squat for a wee just outside the cafe. Cue fast running from me

Hells - no news so far, but thanks for asking

Vinny - twas me re nappies. Hurrah for the Finnster. I am too chicken to try again atm as DD1's nappies are sodden in the morning

Portia, glad you are feeling more upbeat. Time to turn off MN if peeps are getting at you? You are worth more than having to worry about that shit

DH has just got an iphone. I will plod on with my brick though in money saving fashion....

I spent money last night instead on bunk beds for the DD's

Tonight i HAVE to do a Sainsbo's order for delivery for DH's surprise birthday BBQ. Please nag me if i don't report back that i have done it

Which network Vin?

I've been with mine so long that they will usually match a deal for me if I threaten to leave.

CrispyTheCrisp · 16/06/2010 20:17

Bugger Vinny, mine is £12.50 for 200 mins and unlimited texts. can't justify it then

VinegarTits · 16/06/2010 20:20

with O2 bitter

ah crispy yes i remember now it happened by accident actually, a i forgot to put a nappy in his overnight bag, and when i asked my mum how did he cope, she said 'oh he was fine, he was dry all night'

Saf, they are done now, but thanks you really made me as I read -

"can't you schedule it before something he likes doing - like lunch?"

I would say lunch is DS' favourite thing to do!

VinegarTits · 16/06/2010 20:23

SAf the finnster is 4 next month, and his nappies were always soaked in the morning which is why i havent bothered, but my mum said it may not wee if he knows he hasnt got a nppy on, and she was right, he hasnt
