SAF - Just saw your reply, thank you very much. I agree with what you wrote actually, just shows how pfb I am, I thought that if you taught you knew the classes names and things like they'd just had a baby brother or sister and more importantly that other parents expect that too, but apparently they don't. I'm fucked as she gets older

Still haven't caught up.

DP is excellent in some respects SAF, but a pain in the arse in others. Can't really fault him re looking after dcs, (he did most of night feeds even when working), doing jobs around house (though the kitchen still isn't finished), feeding and bathing me but when it comes to alcohol hes terrible. He can't only have one he has to have loads, hence he is usually banned from drinking

Lizzylou · 15/06/2010 20:09

I love crumble,DEM. I put oats in as well, to take away the guilt. We have to have it as it one of the only ways DS2 will eat fruit.
Ummm, raw crumble mixture...

Can you tell I am getting a wee bit sick of protein? Though in your honour have just had a no fat rhubarb yoghurt.

Fluffy, you are fab, you turned that kicking into a Fluffy Love fest, respect.

Lizzy - I am sooooo cute

Bitter - did you ask me re my books? One is The Wire, can't remember what called exactly, might be that, its by David Whatsit who wrote The Wire but about real life on the streets. Then I've just got a JonBenet Ramsey one in but haven't started that yet. Plus one from John Douglas, really famous profiler on cases that are unsolved eg JonBenet Ramsey, Jack The Ripper, Zodiac etc. And a Harold Schecter one about serial killers in general, his Ed Gein one is fab.

My book case is craft books, serial killers and Vampire/Demon porn. God I'm weird.

YanknCock · 15/06/2010 20:42

Ugh, we are a house of illness again. DS has conjunctivitis and DH and I have some weird flu-like thing. Went to bed early last night and it didn't help at all.

Just wanted to explain why I've not posted much, I can barely keep my eyes open and feel all achey and feverish. Have to soldier on with work though, I can't miss any of this goddamn training course.

Miss you all lots, have said it before but will say it again, Saturday night was fab!

DeFluffy · 15/06/2010 20:42

Portia - Im totally lost now, you were talking about dp moving a lodger out and i've just read a post from you about being in dps house, i thought you two lived together??

carries on working way through

Oh bloody hell, what is wrong with me???

I had pizza for lunch (but a salady one from Pizza Express, so OK really) and a fuck-off greasy pepperoni Dominos pizza for supper. Plus chicken wings

I sabotage myself every bloody time

DreamsInBinary · 15/06/2010 20:55

Looks like I'll be joining The Prawn Eaters sooner rather than later

Gigantaur · 15/06/2010 20:57

i wish MN would devise a way of opening a thread at your last post so that it makes it easier to read what i have missed.

anyonw wanna give me a synopsis? i have both the Dc and DSC tonight so its a bit manic. lovely. but manic.

I met the new family i will be supporting today. they are so lovely. they force fed me samosas and home made cake om nom nom.

Having fish and new potatos with green beans for tea. or at least we will be when i get off here and go cook it.
can you tell im not enthused?

so come on, what have i missed?

DeFluffy · 15/06/2010 21:06

just got to 3.30ish, Double are you pissed??

TotalChaos · 15/06/2010 21:14

DeFluffy - looks like we have intersecting taste in books - I've got but only read a bit of the book of the Corner by David Simon, and have read Homicide Life on the Streets by David Simon - it was ace. And last week I was toying with reading a book about JonBenet Ramsey, but it was 500 or 600 pages so couldn't be arsed. Have you ever read Ann Rule? Another one I am toying with reading is the one by the police officer in the fred west case, have you read that at all?

and re:school stuff - if I was paying to go private I'ld be expecting a bit more of the individual attention and interest from teach, a congrats re:new sibling is just manners really, isn't it?

Gigi - sounds like a good day, are you not a fish freak like me and Lizzy then?

Sorry you and the family are poorly, Yank

DeFluffy · 15/06/2010 21:22

SAF - You are sooo right, I think its because I work in a massive corporate so things like not sending out letters on time ec just don't happen and I find it really scary when they happen at the school. We're held to a ridiculously high standard at my work so I tend to think everywhere else works like that too. I need to start getting some more valium for when she moves up the school

Portia - ahh, I understand. Sorry dont know why but I thought you'd lived together years. That explains why you actually have sex, you have separate houses!

Yank - get to bed. I hope you feel better soon poppet.

Waves at everyone else, especially JJ, why hello JJ

PortiaNovmerriment · 15/06/2010 21:25

Is JJ here? Do we need to open the door a bit wider for his head? No, not that head...

DeFluffy · 15/06/2010 21:27

Total - I really dislike the teacher, there was some bullying and she handled it with incense and chanting so am not too impressed with her in general. Think I can get a refund??

Read lots of Ann Rule, love her although sometimes shes a bit annoying and she does go on a bit. Reada one om the West murders called Happy Killers or something like that but I don't like those murders because of children being involved. I never thought I could handle the JonBenet case but after seeing a program on it the other day I think I can. I have to turn anything off re the Moors Murders can't bear them.

What haven't you read of Ann Rule? If I've got it I'll send it to you.

I liked The Jigsaw man Paul Britton I think it was, another profiler.

TotalChaos · 15/06/2010 21:36

DeFluffy - think I've read all of hers up to and including true cases 12 - think I've read all her full length books, I prefer those to the true cases anthologies. I have never read anything on the Moors Murders either, too gruesome (though of course that is rather hypocritical of me). Yeah I read the Jigsaw Man, it was quite good, but I thought a bit sellf-serving in parts.

DidEinsteinsMum · 15/06/2010 21:36

is it really bad that i am googling chocolate brownie and muffin recipies?
