This is our 50000 (or summat like that) thread.

Some of us do wW, some do the Lord Ford and there may even be a little bit of South Beach in here too!

If you have loads or a teeny tiny bit of weight to lose or even if you just want to eat healthy then this could be the thread for you.

5yr olds having FB accounts???
Bugger me, off to have a look

Iggisfulloftayto · 03/06/2010 20:24

Hello, bouncing on to report have had my first goodish food day for yonks. And did ten minutes long time on the cross trainer. And lots of housework but also sat in garden with book for a time while DS napped. And ordered asked DH to cut the grass when he got in.
Odd as felt so ill last night.
Hope everyone is Ok. Off to do my best to catch up on thread!

Iggisfulloftayto · 03/06/2010 20:32

An idyllic childhood, Lizzy!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 03/06/2010 20:33

Lizzy - it was 'lemonade house' when I was growing up.

I Know kids will be kids, but why is it always my kids?

Iggisfulloftayto · 03/06/2010 20:48

But I'm sure it isn't! Even if they only act up 10% of the time, those are the times you'll remember!
Don't dwell on it. Have a drink. Or an apple.

DeFluffy · 03/06/2010 20:53

Bitter - I went through a period recently where it was always my dd playing up. I got quite a complex then at a recent party it was someone else's dd and I felt such relief and I felt only sympathy for the parents of that child and no judgyness at all and then I felt better because hopefully thats how other parents look at me when its my dd and, my tablets still aren't right are they?? Bugger.

I collapsed in hysterical laughter due to tablets at my parents yesterday (a rare event) got told off obviously, i'm only 34

Back to sodding brooches.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 03/06/2010 21:02

Still not seen these brooches DF, piccy?

I'm pretty immune to DS acting up tbh but DD is usually no work at all.

And now the kids are finally in bed the dog is taking a turn.

Ho hum. I've given up for this week. I am going to have a drink and I'll start afresh on Monday.

Lizzylou · 03/06/2010 21:06

Bitter, I could regale you ALL night with my DS's bad behaviour at various times. The have reduced me to tears on many occasions.
They are not naughty boys, they just seem to pick their moments!
Have a drink as Iggi says!

Defluff, that thread is unbelievable! I cannot believe people think that 5/6yr olds having FB acounts is OK. Club Penguin/Moshi Monsters are fine at that age fgs.

Yay for Iggi's productive day!

Iggisfulloftayto · 03/06/2010 21:12

Thanks for the cheer Lizzy!
It's such a rarity I needed to report.

DeFluffy · 03/06/2010 21:26

Lizzy - reminds me of that line drawing 'someone on the internet is wrong'! I'm trying to 'save' the world's children, running around wanting to take alien woman's child off her, trying to explain why fb is a bad idea at 5, trying to say no a dog licking your toddler's face repeatedly is NOT funny its gross and dangerous, no sweaaring at your children isn't good (remember that one Shiney? That's where we met .

And actually I'm tired of it No one's listening anyway and no one will change their parenting because of what I say on an internet board

And I'm not perfect anyway by a long shot. I just feel really sad on here some days. And this place makes me really po faced and preachy sometimes. Sorry, not sure where that rant came from. Can whoever is charting my moods get this one down sharpish please!!

Bitter - the brooches are taking me forever, got about 15 now but don't want to photograph yet, probably over the weekend

Lizzylou · 03/06/2010 21:32

OOh, I was on the not swearing at your Kids one, and have expressed my disdain on the Staffie one (bleurgh, sorry, but they are fecking ugly and devilhounds Staffies, I bloody hate dogs). I wouldn't let a dog with dogfood breath who'd spent the last 30mins licking his anus lick my face, let alone my kid's, let alone a newborns!!!

I am a cat person tbh and I wouldn't let a cat lick a baby either.

I am totally with you Fluffy, nowt as wierd as folk.

Iggi, hope you have a glass of something cold, right now!

DreamsInBinary · 03/06/2010 21:38

Nooo, LL, noooo.

You can't be a cat person.

I am a dog person.

DreamsInBinary · 03/06/2010 21:40

Where is Gigi? Does anyone know if she called the docs?

Hells - I've just seen the advert with Thandie Newton and realised that she is almost exactly how I picture you.

Lizzylou · 03/06/2010 21:44

Really DIB?
Release your inner feline, release!

I think Hells looks like my supermodel best mate, all tall, fineboned and olive skinned.

Bit Thandie, you could be right.

HOw was parents evening, finger painting going ok?
I remember having to go to a parents evening for DS1 when I worked part time, he was 18mths and I was sooo super excited. Felt all grown up!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 03/06/2010 21:45

See I have a dog, but I wouldn't say I'm a dog person.

I don't like dogs I don't know, and around here it's always one of those horrible little bollocks on a chain.

You may as well walk around with a gold sovereign ring on the end of a lead.

wastingaway · 03/06/2010 21:47

Lizzy, I'm with you on not being keen on carnivorous animals approaching child with carnivorous mouth.

DEfluff, you can tell me. Poor DS has been shouted at and fumed at (possibly sworn at) today, watched a lot of Cbeebies, eaten some ketchup and yoghurt for dinner and is still awake (though in his room).
In my defense yer honour, he got me up at 5, I'm pissed off generally atm, and we've done lots of fun and walking/garden activities today too.

Lizzylou · 03/06/2010 21:51

Wasting, Pah, tomorrow's another day (but join my we hate dogs gang, ok?).
DS is a toddler, it is almost illegal for him NOT to make your life a misery, but it'll pass soon enough.

Have a glass of something cold and alcoholic.

Bitter, that is so funny, a sovereign on a lead, so very true in most cases.

DreamsInBinary · 03/06/2010 21:51

I like big dogs. HUUUUGE ones, like horses

Finger-painting good, but needs to try harder with messy-play

Was a laugh really, there was wine and food and we all stood around and gossiped about how we lie when they are ill.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 03/06/2010 21:56

Sounds like fun DIB

wastingaway · 03/06/2010 21:57

Is it like a survival of the fittest test you think Lizzy? They have to get the balance between finding their boundaries and pushing you over the edge.

DIB, glad it wasn't a waste of time then.

DreamsInBinary · 03/06/2010 22:20

at waste of time

I have spent so much money last month, I actually feel a bit nauseous even thinking about it.

Mouseface · 03/06/2010 22:23

Good evening ladies, tis me, Mouseface.

Man, I'm a bit pooped tonight, think it's my hydrotherapy earlier and the heat.

Had a BBQ for dinner, low fat sausage x2, home made burger and salad. V low fat to be fair.

But now, I am having a vody and will be opening the vino in a bit.

I feel that way out tonight! DS is still bringing his feeds back, even though we've stopped all meds........ and I'm havin gto feed him asleep so it'll stay down, poor little chap

How are we all????

DeFluffy · 03/06/2010 22:36

Wasting - consider yourself right told off, okay?!

Trust me I have no problem with them watching tv, dd(5) has her own portable dvd player She sometimes watches it in the living room while I watch JK educational programs on main tv

I am judgey about:

Dogs anywhere near children (my dog's an angel etc etc) [By the way I used to have a Newfoundland and a Samoyed]
Kids drinking coke
Swearing at kids
Smoking near kids
No car seats
Bloody 'to' and 'too' (that's to you DP!!)
Pierced ears
Those horrible ratty little ponytails on tiny children with no hair
Kids on facebook until they are 13!
Kids watching age inappropriate films or playing things like COD when they're underage.

Ermm, that's about it. And I have 4 cats

I feel kind of 'lighter' now I've got that off my chest (I'll probbly be lighter on friends on fb too later )

DeFluffy · 03/06/2010 22:41

Waves at Mouse

Gigi - any news yet? Got everything crossed for you

Bella - duh i should have thought about your name, sorry I'm thick as pig s&it at the moment

DIB - I've got a spare cat if you want to try to unleash your inner feline?

Mitts - might have pissed it but did you get to talk to that girl's parents?

DreamsInBinary · 03/06/2010 22:42

Hey Mouse how's your head?

Fluffy - have no opinion on the first but you get a big, fat tick for all the others Four cats though? WHY????!!
