This is our 50000 (or summat like that) thread.

Some of us do wW, some do the Lord Ford and there may even be a little bit of South Beach in here too!

If you have loads or a teeny tiny bit of weight to lose or even if you just want to eat healthy then this could be the thread for you.

temporaily thought i had killed this and then i realised that it is probably bedtime for most of the dc of the thread

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 02/06/2010 19:43

I'm not really here, I'm watching BGT.

Lizzylou · 02/06/2010 19:44

Watching the news, how scary!
Just realised I'd got Whitehaven and Workington mixed up re: Cumbria.
It seems he went on a rampage, that gunman they were showing police cars racing around leafy lanes with walkers strolling along the side of them, bloody hell.

bellavita · 02/06/2010 19:46

Me too Bitter!

Jet, I am not sure how you would go about doing a collection and where to send it when it is finished even.

Sounds more positive with Junior.

I have made a chocolate cake and filled it with chocolate butter cream - it does look rather yummy.

i know bella - a daft idea really

MuckyDucky · 02/06/2010 19:56

not daft just logistically difficult.

bellavita · 02/06/2010 19:58

Gawd no, not a daft idea at all - a lovely one. Shows what a lovely caring warm person you are to think of others.

OP posts:
MuckyDucky · 02/06/2010 20:11

I'll tell you what is a daft idea jet: the mug of coffee i am about to drink. it will about 1am before i will be able to sleep. But i am about ready to go splat and i have at least half a top to finish making.

hellsbelles · 02/06/2010 20:14

evening everyone...I'm feeling very grumpy due to hugely boring diet. And it's only day one

Lizzy - thanks re the Wire...Bitter how do I get it to you? You aren't on FB are you? What's the best way to contact you for an address? (I'm hoping I can actually find it now!!)

Tonight I have to do boring stuff like paying bills and filing. Work t/m so I will be quiet (do you see what I'm doing - I'm making sure you know why I'm not posting...I'm scared of Bella you see )

Hope you have a lovely evening everyone.

bellavita · 02/06/2010 20:25

at Hells!

I will mail you Lizzy's address.

Evening

Hi Fanny

Jet - glad junior is perking up a bit.

Mucky - will head to FB in a mo.

at Vinny being so close. So glad she is safe.

Erm.....can't remember much more.

There may be good news wrt the car. My Dad spoke to his cousin (mechanic and AA man for many years) who says that the thing they said needs replacing happens so rarely and not without there being some difference to the way the car is driving, that it is more likely some faulty sensor somewhere costing about £60 rather than the £1408.23 that the merc garage have quoted so definitely worth getting a second opinion. Fingers crossed please girls.

Going to show DH the shoes in a minute, and perhaps place an order

Have a good evening, i am going to spend it watching BGT, 3 in a bed (all recorded) and eating a magnum gold i think

bellavita · 02/06/2010 20:30

Have massaged you Hells!

OP posts:
wastingaway · 02/06/2010 20:31

Evening!

Hells I do not envy you that diet. The best part of Atkins was all the sugar-free jelly and double cream. Pate on cucumber, yum!

I think my mind has remembered it's favourite bits from all the different diets I've done over the years, and thinks that is healthy.

So it goes, bacon and eggs good (Atkins) bread and ketchup good (Rosemary Conley) olive oil and pasta good (vegan) anything good in moderation (WW) which doesn't really help!

Glad to hear Vinny is ok, she was so close to it.

Jet it's a good idea, just not sure how it works. There may well be an 'official' appeal that gets set up.

bellavita · 02/06/2010 20:31

at magnum gold - I love them!

Hello everyone, just calling in quickly.

Hope your all really well. Work is very hectic and I'm, a bit whacked out when I get home so not been on much. Weight is staying the same but I'm really determined to get it moving. If for nothing else just for the fact that some of you lovely ladies have sponsored me to do so and I cannot let you down!

Off to London tomorrow so having a bit of an early night tonight.

Catch you soon

x

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 02/06/2010 20:38

Hello, hello - Bella I'm checking in

Mouse - the thread has spoken: you are amazing

Alice - go red

Fanny - hellooooo

Jet & Mittz - sorry to about illing DC's.

Am horrified Vinny was so close to the shootings. The thought that she and The Finnster were so close must be making her feel sick.

bellavita · 02/06/2010 21:17

Has anyone heard from the Shiney slightly tarnished one?

Tsk JuJus... are you guilty of dereliction of duty in the care of our beloved leader...? shame on you

Iggisfulloftayto · 02/06/2010 21:23

Yum, had an enormous steak and salad for supper and all within points, so am feeling virtuous and pouring my first glass of wine.

Goober · 02/06/2010 21:50

Hello lovlies.

I am back.

And fat as ever!

DeFluffy · 02/06/2010 21:51

Alice - just dropped in to say something have been meaning to say for ages (and havew probably said 3 times already and forgotten)

Do be careful if you are resting because that is what led to my blood clot on the lung when pregnant with Mole. Your blood is naturally 'stickier' when pregnant and you are at a greater risk of dvt. Add to that rest (mine was enforced because I couldn't walk due to spd) and you can have a recipe for a clot.

My symptoms were temperature, persistant cough, terrible pain in side, shortness of breath. Doctor spotted it thank God. Google it for other symptoms like pain in leg, redness etc.

If you do need to rest for the pregnancy it may be worth asking your gp re Clexane injections, take them twice a day into the stomach (not great but not that bad either) and it means you won't get a clot, also doesn't harm baby at all.

Sorry if I've alreday mentioned all this Oh and sorry to be such a doom monger

AND YAY FOR VINNY!!! Was worried about her.
