This is our 50000 (or summat like that) thread.

Some of us do wW, some do the Lord Ford and there may even be a little bit of South Beach in here too!

If you have loads or a teeny tiny bit of weight to lose or even if you just want to eat healthy then this could be the thread for you.

Gearing up to google the bbc to find out what you are talking about but have that feeling that I will be happier having not known - but will go do it.
Sorry people are sick and their DCs are sick.
Alice you must parcel up all the worries/plans about your car and just hand them over to you DH to deal with. Normally, you'd be on top of it, but this is not a "normal" time for you.

Hope Vinny's ok. Scary stuff. On a lovely day like this, they'll be tucked away in the back garden enjoying the weather.

There really does seem to be a lot of illness around atm.

DH thinks he has a hernia in his groin from playing football, but I'm not sure that it isn't a Carry On style ruse.

Busy day here, done baking and playing in the garden.

jetcat · 02/06/2010 13:28

alice, sorry about car stress is now what you need!

for you and your ds mittz, and at yours been knackered bella!

bellavita · 02/06/2010 13:30

Glad you have had a result Mittz! DS1 has trouble going!

Mouse - I take it your DH is no good at DIY then? So what's the next step for DS?

Oh god yes, half term and snacking - costs a fortune.

Wasting, both my boys have had groin hernias and have had them operated on.

Alicetheinvisible · 02/06/2010 13:32

I'm ok, just saw the news!

Mittz - glad your Ds is better

DeFluffy · 02/06/2010 13:33

Am reading and writing as I catch up so hopefully no bad x posts.

I'm here to lose 4 stone, it was 3 but now have found out my scales are a stone out so to get back to my 'normal' weight i need to shift 4 stone.

I have tried a d&v bug and eating salad etc but am seeming to gain weight Exercise is next attempt. Need to keep at it as caught sight of myself the other day and realised how much I have been deluded myself re what I actually look like. Not good.

Anyway- Mittz - what the fuck???? Shes's 11??????????? Have only read your first post so will continue and see if normality is restored

bellavita · 02/06/2010 13:37

Fluffy - good to have you back.

Can someone txt BoF to ask her to txt Vinny? Would be good tO know she is OK, even though it is sad to know anyone has been hurt.

bellavita · 02/06/2010 13:42

Mittz, I have txted her twice and left a voicemail and Shiney has also txted her.

Fluff....welcome back.

Bella I remember Vinny always says the mobile reception is a bit dodgy so I don't think we should worry if you don't get a reply quickly.

Mittz · 02/06/2010 13:44

Ok Bella.. thanks ..

Mouseface · 02/06/2010 13:46

Bella - no idea. They have tried numerous meds, none work. He's had reflux since birth. If I feed him 300mls per feed, he usually loses 200mls.

I have to replcae that. It takes all day to get calories into him some days.

It's hard to stay positive for him when we have bad days. I would just like him to eat. And put weight on.

And maybe, just maybe, have a tiny degree of 'normal' in his day.

Are we worried about Vinny? Have I missed something? I thought she was on holiday or is she on holiday at home?

Lizzylou · 02/06/2010 13:47

Have jus come on here then got all flustered and googled.

I would try not worry too much, Vinny is miles away from Whitehaven and it isn't the sort of place she'd go for a day out iyswim.
Hopefully, fingers crossed.

Lizzylou · 02/06/2010 13:49

Sorry for all illing DC.
Mousey, that must have so hard losing triplets. I know someone who had the same, she is pg again now and late stages so fingers crossed, but it was v traumatic for her.

TrillianAstra · 02/06/2010 13:49

There's v little phone reception in the Lakes (it's rather hilly and sparsely populated, that being the point of going there) so you should all just chill out.

Mittz · 02/06/2010 13:49

Mouse.. you haver really been through it haven't you? You are am amazing lady..

Mittz · 02/06/2010 13:52

I love you Trills... I just want you to know that.

Lizzylou · 02/06/2010 13:52

Sensible Trills is very right, plus Whitehaven is top left of Lakes, Vinny is bottom right(ish), so farthest away se could possibly be.

She is prob in a field of sheep drinking out of a hipflask playing on her penny whistle utterly unaware of anything going on.

Mouseface · 02/06/2010 13:56

at Mittz, thanks. I'm not amazing really, I just have a 'pull your big girl pants up and get on with it' attitude.

My life to date has made me that way........

Lizzy - that's why we have such a big gap between DD 11yrs, and DS 13months. It takes time to get over something like that, both physically and mentally. I hope your friend is ok and all goes well for her.

hellsbelles · 02/06/2010 14:05

Mouse I'm sorry - I missed your post. How heartbreaking...and despite your denials I agree with Mitts.

On a complete boring note...dukan is worse than atkins in the first phase...it's just protein...none of that butter and cheese lark ...but I think it all gets better later (after the first 3 days)...I'm still working my way through the chapters.

bellavita · 02/06/2010 14:08

Mouse - I hope you get the answers you need, it must be really draining for you. I am sorry that you lost your babies

Lizzy yep, you are talking sense (as per usual), she is probably blissfully unaware >
