This is our 50000 (or summat like that) thread.

Some of us do wW, some do the Lord Ford and there may even be a little bit of South Beach in here too!

If you have loads or a teeny tiny bit of weight to lose or even if you just want to eat healthy then this could be the thread for you.

Hi SAF

It is just my mother is so doom and gloom. Just want to shake her and say FGS Woman! She has 'flu' again. My sister who is pg too has some medical problems and my mum likes to make it into some huge great big thing and tells her she needs to do this or that when she actually has no idea.

But all is ok because i have a beautiful card on my mantelpiece

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 02/06/2010 11:18

I'll probably be there around 12 Tocc, you've plenty of time.

Saf, we still on for tomorrow?

Mittz · 02/06/2010 11:23

I have just gone into the kitchen and discovered that while I was in the shower the DC's have ravaged the fruitbowl.

I stocked up on some bits last night after work and it's nearly all gone!

So, in addition to their breakfast of two bowls of porridge and 3 rounds of toast between them, they have also eaten

Half a pound of grapes
four pears and...
SIX bananas

I am going to be bankrupt when they hit their teens.

Right, I really am off now, catch up later.

TrillianAstra · 02/06/2010 11:31

Shiney is illing. Uh-oh....

(just popping on so you know I'm not dead, big boss is visiting the office today/tomorrow so busy)

Gentle for Alice - your mother is a moany hypocohondriac by the sounds of it.

What's the long list all about?

Alicetheinvisible · 02/06/2010 11:33

Fuck FUCK FUCK FUCK

My car went into the garage last week for a full service and air con service. Have had it home and done less than 40miles in it and the engine light has come on, so garage picked it up today and have just told me it will be about £1500 to repair. afraid i got a bit ranty and hormonal to the mechanic on the phone.

Lizzylou · 02/06/2010 11:33

Bloody hell Bitter, never mind the cost, what about their bowels!

Hey Saf, did you have fun?

Just having a quick pop in as a break as have been v productive workwise this morning.
Mainly as I am scared of Bolshy Bella

Hope JUnior is OK Jet.

Lizzylou · 02/06/2010 11:35

Why did they not spot this last time, Alice?

Deep breaths, lovely, calm down and let your DH sort it. Or do your pg hormonal rant down the phone to garage as they should have seen that problem last week?

TrillianAstra · 02/06/2010 11:36

Bugger Alice - is this the same car that was playing up before or did you get a new one in the end? Either way it shouldn't be doing this, bastardy car, doesn't it know you are pregnant?

Alicetheinvisible · 02/06/2010 11:41

Apparently it is to say the engine is slowly starting to become less efficient/more likely to go wrong etc. Could be drivable for a week, a month or a year, no telling. I told them that just keep driving it isn't an option with a baby due in just over 9 weeks. Apparently if the engine light goes red then you must stop car immediately. Fucking useful on the way to the maternity unit or with a toddler and a newborn on the side of a motorway.

DH has just text to say that a friend of his sends her merc to a garage that are very good and may be less than the actual merc garage.

I really hate it when i get stressed as i get contractions

MuckyDucky · 02/06/2010 11:43

am on hold with a poor lady whose brain is about to explode.

bellavita · 02/06/2010 11:43

Oh no Alice , like Lizzy said - let DH sort it, you have enough on your plate.

Trills - list is of excuses 'bout why the shiners are not posting....

Shiney is illing

Be careful of Bella this morning

I'm not scared of beeyutiful Bella

Mittz · 02/06/2010 12:07

DS is still very poorly, I have had to ring the doctor. He is vomiting everything up still, chronically constipated and very weak.

bellavita · 02/06/2010 12:18

for your DS Mittz. How long has he been like this now? If you can, insist that the Dr come and and see him rather than you take him to the surgery. Poor love.

My DS1 finally came home from sleep over at 9.30am. He handed over his laptop and i-pod without a fight. He started on his homework. I thought it a little quiet and went in his room to find him asleep in his chair. He has now come down stairs and is making some very strange noises on the settee (he is asleep). They have been awake all night.
