Keep on resting Alice

Shiiiiiiiiney - blimey, you are going to be a bundle of laughs later on when the tiredness hits

Well, all is quiet now in the bella household. I am going to get a shower and make my way into town.

Oh, I have just been out to the garage to get the piece of beef out of my "entertaining" fridge to find ants crawling all over the top of it (not inside) and all over my drier too - what shall I do? I do have ant powder do you think I should give them a good squirt or leave it for DH to deal with tonight? They weren't there yesterday when I swept and tidied up.

NormaSknockers · 23/05/2010 09:10

I have a birthday party with the children at 12 for a few hours & I don't know how I'm going to make it without eating my way through the buffet. I always find partys/buffets hard to resist - any tips on how to not eat?

Wonder if Vinnys razor mishap was noticed?

bellavita · 23/05/2010 09:11

They are crawling on top of the fridge, not the beef!

NormaSknockers · 23/05/2010 09:12

I would put some Ant powder down Bella & get DH ti deal with it later - that's my preferred method

Am back Norma - they are on the shelf above the fridge and drier too - There is just screwdrivers and boys stuff on there - so DH needs to sort that out. I have managed to stop them dead in their tracks though on the fridge and drier!

NormaSknockers · 23/05/2010 09:23

Well maybe it's just me but I much prefer to be there, especially as DS is only 21 months old. DD isn't 4 yet & I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving her on her own so I for one am glad I'm allowed to stay

Morning all.

Just a quick post and run, we are off to FIL's to see how he's doing and have a BBQ.

Hope everyone enjoys the sunshine.

NormaSknockers · 23/05/2010 09:24

Yay!!! Glad you made it back alive Bella Definately sounds like a job for DH to sort out

Morning ladies!

Yank - think you are unfortunately wise to be careful about sickness etc, they are really cracking down, following everything to the letter now at my work..... glad to hear that ex is improving.

re:psych. I didn't get discharged for a couple of years after seeing psych for AND, despite doing pretty well, so they may keep you on a bit longer. If you do get discharged, you may want to get the care plan for discharge sorted as to what happens in a future pg - a big issue for me was not being allowed ADs by GP, so I had it written into my care plan that I could stay on the Prozac if I did get PG (not intending too, but you never know what may happen...).

bella - hope the carpet looks better this morning, eeee at the ants

saf - I am a bit overprotective re:parties as my DS has mild SN. But it was a bloody good job I was at last two parties - party 1 at soft play he broke his wrist and party 2 he fell and banged his head and got upset - so both of which would not have been fair to him or other parents for me not be dealing....

TotalChaos · 23/05/2010 09:52

hope you are OK, Shiney.

bellavita · 23/05/2010 09:53

Norma - your DC's are only babies aren't they... I wouldn't leave mine at parties at that age either.

Glad it's not just me Bella, I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving them even if it was just DD I still wouldn't comfortable with it. There's a bouncy castle & a good 15 children going so I would just worry the entire time, plus I'm a mean mummy the DC aren't allowed fizzy drinks etc so if I wasn't there they'd come home all hyper
