hello ladies.

been off enjoying the sunshine. Had a lovely surprise on saturday night. some of my friends descended upon me with food for a BBQ to cheer me up. Was really lovely.
and whilst we were chatting the men folk chopped down a massive bush that has been bugging me since we moved in. so hurrah for my friends and their men.

I have just had some lovely haddock and steamed veg. very diet safe.

need to make up for all the alcohol i consumed at the weekend.

off to the hospital tomorrow, shall let you know how i get on.

YanknCock · 24/05/2010 19:39

Norma, agree with you on the envy thing, there's always something to want/covet. Every time I rant about how much I hate my house, I try to remind myself that I have a roof over my head, food to eat, a job, and love. That is a hell of a lot more than many people have, so must try to remember that.

Defluff, no, it's not normal to be insulted by your parents that many times in 10 minutes. Of course I haven't lived in the same country as mine for nearly 8 years--they are usually so grateful to see me that everyone is very nice. And your SIL probably thinks it is a comment on her parenting when you were just being thoughtful, thus the bitchiness.

Mittz, my dad's another that doesn't like any presents.

VT, what awful neighbours, sorry you didn't get any sleep. Agree MrGropey needed to be told of his utter shittyness. If not for your own peace of mind, have a thought for the next victim of his nice guy charade. I mean, FFS, it's essentially sexual assault! I don't mean to be funny, but that kind of thing pisses me off so much. You said NO, you meant NO, and this guy continued to paw at you. I am so glad nothing worse happened. Please please please be careful in future. I have a bit of experience in this area so I suppose it colours my judgment and what a lot of people see as a funny dating story, I see as a close call with a potential date rapist. Arsehole, wish I could give him a fucking kicking.

Crispy, nice to see you here again. I got some TCP and gargled with it the other night--it was foul!!!!

Alice, glad the bank is sorted.

Lizzy, oh no! That means you are out commission doesn't it?

at all the raunchy conversation/shopping lists. I've been on my sickbed all day. Ended up staying home in the end. Went to the GP this afternoon because I couldn't stop coughing/wheezing and felt like my chest was caving in. My ear infection is still raging 2.5 weeks and 2 rounds of antibiotics on, so I've started a 3rd round and cannot believe I haven't gotten thrush from them yet.....there's still time

the other great news is that 3 days of coughing my lungs out has resulted in my pelvic floor giving up completely and I am now weeing nearly every time I sneeze or cough or blow my nose. I am a fucking Tena Lady again. So stop making me laugh, alright?

bellavita · 24/05/2010 19:39

Hi Gigi

Haddock and steamed veg - I would love that! Yay for your lovely friends . Good luck for tomorrow x

bellavita · 24/05/2010 19:41

Oh Yank for your illing and pelvic floor.

Were work ok about you being off?

VinegarTits · 24/05/2010 19:49

Sorry about your pelvic floor yank

wastingaway · 24/05/2010 19:53

Oh Yank Might be worth getting some probiotics to ward off the thrush?
Really hoping you're better soon.

Ooh Gigi, haddock, yum!

All that food, plus some sweets and I was 140 cals over, before I put the walking and gardening in on FF.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 24/05/2010 20:43

Evening all.

I have been very good today. I ate breakfast !

So today I have eaten a small bowl of fruit and fibre, a prawn sandwich fo lunch and a small steak with a big green salad for dinner.

I am nearly 200 cals under for the day, so think I may have a drink when I watch Glee.

Oh, and I weighed myself this morning and I am down to 9 stone 7, so that's another 2lb gone!

Well technically another 5 as I had put on 3 the last time I weighed myself, but 2 towards my target weight.

And I'm on day 3 of AF so I might lose a bit more after that.

I have read all your posts - and dirty talk But I am off in a bit so won't do a roundup. Hope you are all ok.

Lizzylou · 24/05/2010 20:44

Oh no, poor you Yank, hoping you can get sorted soon.

Wasting, you sound like you had a fab day.

Gigi, what a lovely thing for your friends to do, you do deserve it.

SAF, how about a walk/park/paddling pool in the garden?

Double, anyone would think you were getting all healthy in preparation for something?

Been to spinning and did 10mins of fat wobbler as well. I will get this blubber off. Oh yes. Spin was hellish, so hot but very hard work and I must have sweated out at least 1/2stone.

Well done Bitter!

Excellent exercising Lizzy. You will do it.

Instructions, it's good incentive.

Lizzy, today is what I thought SAHMing would be like.

Lizzy - I am still in awe at your fitness and exercise

Saf - we will not be eating on Thursday, I need to keep this up!

If the weather is nice tomorrow, I'm sure it will be easier to find something to do.

I bought some yoghurt and fruit for tomorrow, I am determined to get into the habit of eating breakfast.

Good evening lovely ladies.

Before I go and catch up, here's my day:

Breakfast - cereal

Lunch - I did what I was told and refused a roll. I had two cold sausages, a piece of ham and some roasted vegetable cous cous.

Dinner - 1.5 pittas with mince inside with a tiny bit of mature cheddar on

Oh...and an ice lolly that had 45 cals in it.

And I trampolined solidly for 10 minutes and was completely knackered!

Lizzylou · 24/05/2010 21:09

OOh well done on the loss, Bitter.

Tomorrow I will go for a run, there I've said it now, so I have to do it.

Just tried some jeans I bought ages ago which have always been too tight. They still are but slightly less so than they were.

Aww Wasting, I think when can get out and about it really makes a difference and saves your sanity.

CrispyTheCrisp · 24/05/2010 21:10

Evening all

Had a lovely day in the sunshine and even managed a short lie down on the sunlounger with my book. Bliss

Have been much better today foodwise, Special K for brekker, ham salad for lunch & apple and jacket spud with cottage cheese/beans plus yoghurt for dinner

Swam 1/2 mile this avo during DD1's lesson. No pilates as DH late back from work , so shredded this evening instead (5/30)

I have to say i do thing the shredding and pilates is doing good. I can 'feel' all my muscles and when i go to do something strenuous i can feel my shoulderblades clenching and stomach muscles engaging. Hopefully the flabby tummy bits and cellulite will be addressed very shortly....

Well done on teh spin Lizzy, must have been like doing it in a sauna?

Great news on brekker Bitter, do keep it up. I love a grapefruit for breakfast - zingy and light and somehow filling

LOL at all the benny Hill innuendos earlier

Yank - TCP is supposed to taste vile - tricks your body into making you better more quickly so you don't give it another dose . SOrry to hear of your pelvic floor issues and ongoing health crap, hope this lot of AB's does the trick

Double, hope your trip goes ahead ok and am liking the diet impact. Genius

Hurrah for friends Gigi, they always come to the rescue

Wasting, well done on eating what you wanted AND staying within calories

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 24/05/2010 21:24

Ok, caught up now and all I have to say is tha tyou are all very bonkers indeed!

Lizzy - I'm with you...hadn't you noticed my renewed motivation to lose this last bastard stone!? I have also been doing crunches every morning - 3 x 10; and 3 x 10 reverse crunches; and 3 x 10 second planks.

Yank - re. you still illing! And your pelvic floor!

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 24/05/2010 21:25

And now I have a bit of a problem. DH is out. I want to eat ice-cream.

CrispyTheCrisp · 24/05/2010 21:29

You are a waitress. You are not allowed to eat the stock. Step away from the freezer.

Lizzylou · 24/05/2010 21:29

Mrs W, I have just been doing some abs whilst DH is watching the football. It is so hot still!
I had noticed that you were all invigorated, together we will shift it

Crispy, it was like a sauna, and a very hard class tonight as well. Got through 1.5litres of water during and after the class.

I think I may try the shred again tomorrow, was just so put off by the over-muscly thighs of the girls in the DVD (my thighs have a tendency to bulk up)and the fact that every time I laughed/coughed my stomach was in agony.

OOh, Becks was just on the TV, swoon

CrispyTheCrisp · 24/05/2010 21:32

Lizzy, i suspect the girls on the DVD do a LOT more than just shredding . Plus the camera adds 10 lbs and that is without the help/hindrance of widescreen TV. I'll bet they are waifs in real life . I went back to level 1 tonight as it's quite a nice workout and i can feel it doing good

Ok, Crispy. You're right. I promise not to eat any ice cream tonight.

YanknCock · 24/05/2010 22:26

bella, when I phoned in this morning I was busy coughing a lung up, so boss couldn't really say much.

Speak of that, my lung must weigh approximately half a pound because that's what I lost since last week WW online gave me another silver 7 star because I am now 1st 7lbs down on my official starting weight from May 2008. (18lbs down since I starting 'shining').

wasting, I'm sure I should be putting yogurt up my fanjo or something. I just can't believe I haven't got thrush already, I used to get it like clockwork every time I took ABs, but since the pregnancy it hasn't happened. Weird, eh?

Coughing slightly better with using new inhaler and many many glacier fruits.

Just talked to XMIL. XH back on ventilator as he was having trouble breathing. I managed to get him diagnosed with sleep apnoea when we were together, and he has asthma too, so it's not as bad as it sounds. They are probably just being cautious because they don't know what his breathing normally sounds like (quite laboured and he has trouble breathing through his nose).
