I like a good strong pair of muscly thighs, DEM.
Firemen wea too many clothes

Glad you had a good time, SAF. Do some star jumps or summat to atone for the calorific lunch

DidEinsteinsMum · 20/05/2010 18:06

Granted re: clothes and firemen. What about rugby players then? Where do you stand on this? pro anti?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm doesnt stop the ice hockey player thing though and they wear more then firemen. Hmm right must stop drooling and go save tea.

Lizzylou · 20/05/2010 18:25

Hmm, re: Rugby, do you mean League or Union?
I like your Jeremy Guscott type Union men, not the fat bastards in the scrum.
League tend to have v fit bods but shockingly shit hair for some reason.

Ice Hockey, can see attraction, they have to be brave yet also very dancer like poise and balance. There is a worry that they may be munters under the mask though.

TotalChaos · 20/05/2010 18:25

sailors are more my cup of tea than firemen. men of the world and all that .

fingers crossed for Alice.

DidEinsteinsMum · 20/05/2010 18:31

Ah but lizzy, spend enough time at the rink and you see them more without mask then you do with.
There's a difference dont follow rugby in any form tbh. Ice hockey, american, basket ball, skateboarding, snowboarding and stuff like that.

Sailors have a reputation though and in my experience often the ego is instead of personality. Suspected that there can be some gooduns out but havent come across in my travels.

Anyone spoken to jet?

bellavita · 20/05/2010 18:31

Vinny, are you on a contract phone? If so, surely they will replace it?

hellsbelles · 20/05/2010 19:14

I can't stop worrying about Alice. I think you are probably right about her just being observed...truth is with a toddler it is nigh on impossible for her to do bedrest at home so they would play it safe and keep her in? Fingers crossed that's all it is.

I'm feeling very flabby and hot. I have pigged out so much today. I assume AF is due but I've been eating buttered granary rolls like I've got some sort of demonic possession. DH is home later (he's been away with work)...so hopefully he'll take my mind off bread rolls

NormaSknockers · 20/05/2010 19:20

I like a nice copper myself

Well done Lizzy, let us know if you hear anything can't stop worrying about Alice & bub keeping everything crossed she's just busy or resting!

NormaSknockers · 20/05/2010 19:21

at Hells & her demonic possession

Lizzylou · 20/05/2010 19:23

I have news! Alice's DH doesn't think I am a mad stalker (he is v dishy though!) and replied, typically have been attending to Beavis and Butthead so have only just seen it:

Thanks for the message Lizzy. Alice has been in hospital since yesterday afternoon because of premature contractions. Luckily she doesn't seem to be going in to labour, but she is being given the steroid injections to mature the baby just in case. We are expecting her home tomorrow morning all being well. I'm glad she'll have plenty of Mumsnet and Facebook to catch up on - should keep her on the sofa with her feet up for a while!

The names have been changed to protect the innocent!

NormaSknockers · 20/05/2010 19:26

Oh thank fuck for that, sorry about the swearing but just relieved she's ok. Poor thing not fun, those steriod injections flipping hurt too. Bless her, so pleased she'll be home tomorrow. Well done Lizzy

Phew - Lizzy well done. So glad she is safe. Agree that steriod injections are no fun...but you did get a sense of relief that at least you are doing something if you have them don't you Norma?

hellsbelles · 20/05/2010 19:38

that sentence made no sense did it? Too many bread rolls

NormaSknockers · 20/05/2010 19:40

I knew what you meant, absolutely it makes you feel like if baby were to arrive early at least everything possible has been done

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 20/05/2010 19:40

Have you finished 24 yet?

DidEinsteinsMum · 20/05/2010 19:41

Glad to hear that she and bump is ok!!!! Ouch at injections though.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 20/05/2010 19:42

I'm missing a post! I posted that I was glad alice was ok and it's disappeared

DidEinsteinsMum · 20/05/2010 19:46

bread has been my down fall today hells. Goodness knows how many calories. I dearnt log with the lord ford. Its bound to be not good Need to do some exercise, undecided re skating tomo or sat. guess it will depend on the baby sitter. hellsbelles · 20/05/2010 20:04

Bitter no! We are doing 2 episodes a night at the moment! we'll get there soon.

DidEinsteinsMum · 20/05/2010 20:08

Lord helps us if he ever reads this...

bellavita · 20/05/2010 20:08

Thanks Lizzy for updating us. Poor Alice . Hopefully this bit of bed rest will give her the boost she needs. She is in the best place. Someone I used to work with had to have injections with all three of her babies.

bellavita · 20/05/2010 20:09

Hells, I seem to be on a mission of self destruct with things I shouldn't be eating.. It started yesterday afternoon
