Sorry for crap title, my first time

Roundup of today:

shiney, hope you and J have a wonderful weekend together.

Queen, yuck. I hated nearly every minute of my pregnancy. Seriously, if you search my name from about Jan-Aug 2009, it will all be me moaning about how much it sucks. Sympathy for you from another hyperemesis sufferer.

DIB, my stomach leapt a bit reading about your DS, how scary! Glad he seems to be ok.

Alice, your DS is very curled up in there and you've got a ways to go (sorry!) so wouldn't worry about bump size at all.

VT, I think you should prepare for the camping by ceasing all ironing now

BOF, what the hospital appt for? You ok? Hope you feel better!

ABF, hello and welcome! I also think of Carry On films when I see ding dong, DH has forced me to watch them as part of my education on what it means to be British

DI, I am jealous. Tell me next time it is 'dress like a pirate day'.

SAF, my mom believed in benign neglect and got two very self-reliant and capable children. I don't go for doorstop selling of anything, I have a very comprehensive sign that seems to be keeping people away and stuff out of the letterbox.

bitter, I'm sorry, but at your DS being a bottom-flasher!

GetOrf, so giving up diet coke makes you lose weight? Might have to try that one!

bella, glad the cake situation was sorted. I am jealous, I want ducks to come to my house. We just have the neighbourhood cat who leaves us dead stuff [boak]

Goober, yay for another pound off!

korma, flylady is the way forward.

Sazz, that doesn't sound too bad, 4lbs can come off in two weeks. Good job on all the exercise.

Jet, hello! You just reminded me to check my BMI, and I have JUST graduated from 'Morbidly Obese' to merely 'Obese'! Hooray!

Mitts, at least she is your XMIL

hells, good luck with the nits

ScreaminEagle, I'm another who joined late (though it's been nearly 6 months now!).

Norma, hope your DS's finger is ok!

Defluff, at 'yo homies' I feel 12 again.

Went to pick up DS at nursery today and was alerted to the possibility he may be developing chicken pox!! ARrggggghhhhhhhhhhhh I really really hope not, I've only been back at work a week!

My luck is seriously shit. On the positive side the nursery worker thought if he had it the spots would be showing up faster instead of the very gradual increase over the day. So either he doesn't have it and has some weird other rash thing, or he has a mild case, or it will be turning up with a vengence tomorrow.

Either way, it is wine o'clock, DH is going to Spar now to fetch some in.

PITA, am so pleased to have you in my Alan Hansen Clique, Gawd, those eyes, he is sex on legs!!!
Bella, honestly, eyes are a window to the soul...and Alan's eyes speak dirty things...

DreamsInBinary · 01/05/2010 23:02

LL - stop stop

bellavita · 01/05/2010 23:03

Lizzy have you been drinking?

Okaaaaaaaay, I will admit to him having nice eyes!

YanknCock · 01/05/2010 23:03

Night everyone!

bella, hoping we will go tomorrow for our first visit. The plan is to continue pilates with our usual lady on Tuesday, ballroom dancing on thursday, and gym on weds, fri, and sunday.

I am aware this is quite optimistic with working full time and having an 8 month old. The last week wasn't a complete disaster, but have learned we are too hungry and pressed for time to do any lengthy/complicated cooking on weeknights, so I suspect a lot of cooking will get done on weekends or it will be slow cooker meals.

That is funny - I would love to be as fab as tracey sounds! I am tall-ish and clumsy, DH is never surprised when I break/drop/spill things! I would like to be all neat and feminine.

So Alan Hansen is proving pretty divisive then. I am not a big fan of his eyebrows I'm afraid.

Lizzy - you can have Alan and I'll take that nice young man Santa Cruz

bellavita · 01/05/2010 23:06

Blimey Yank, don't burn yourself out will you

i have eaten a hugenormous amount at the restaurant + birthday cake + cheese/crisps/grapes/olives

am ready to fall in to bed, happy

Lizzylou · 01/05/2010 23:24

Awww Vinny, that makes me sad for my Irish heritage, the ones who have a good old sing and drink.

I do love you x

RIP Grandad JOhn

wastingaway · 01/05/2010 23:24

Hello.

I've been knitting and watching murders.
DH is 'hanging out in Camden'.

Alan Hanson.

Jaq, you sound like you're off to a flying start. Remember to eat enough.

I hate my accent. Doncaster is much harsher than other Yorkshire accents. And my village's accent is particularly nasty.
The odd thing is, it's not like I speak to that many people daily!
I don't want DS saying 'int' and 'ant' especially when you work out the contraction of couldn't is 'cunt'. So I shall try to speak properly from now on.

wastingaway · 01/05/2010 23:26

Ah Vinny, that's fab.

VinegarTits · 01/05/2010 23:29

aww lizzy i love you too, and rip to your grandad

she has been on form tonight the little tinker, had us all in stitches with her tales you know she taught me how to fight when i was little 'you might see this one (raises left hand) but you wont see this one (right hook)'

Fleecy · 01/05/2010 23:29

Vinny - sounds fun, glad you all had a good time. Impressive stuff at 90 - well done your nan!

YanknCock · 01/05/2010 23:33

wasting, one of DH's best mates is from Doncaster. They were housemates for a while and DH (Londoner) was with 3 northerners, so he does cracking northern accents now. For the longest time whenever he was going to say something filthy he'd put on the Doncaster one. For a while I wondered if 'Colin' actually existed and it wasn't just DH having a very dirty alternate personality!

Vinny, glad you had a good time.

Am supposed to meet my friend and her baby tomorrow, but if DS has conjunctivitis am a bit worried. GP seemed to think it would be ok as long as they didn't touch, but DS likes to grab and pat this little girl a lot! Will leave it up to her mum to decide. Have texted her to phone me asap as we're meant to be at theirs at 11am.
