Did a pregnancy test this morning as period is a week late....

there is the faintest smudge where the positive line would be, so faint I'm not entirely convinced it's there.

Court of mumsnet, what do you think?

colditz i also got neg on first response with both ds and this baby....so maybe leave it and try a different one in ocuple of days

colditz · 21/07/2005 23:18

but... but... but this is First Response!

It's supposed to tell you 4 days before your period is due, never mind a week after! It says so on the packet and everything!

Surely I would be feeling a bit pregnant by now? I did with ds.

colditz · 22/07/2005 14:52

Could that happen? To have a negative result one day then get such a whoosh of hormones I start chucking up the next?

OP posts:
Nemo1977 · 22/07/2005 14:55

ooo colditz this time i had hormone surge week after conception so it could be. honestly hun try a ood brand like clearblue and see what happens

colditz · 22/07/2005 14:56

Nemo1977 · 22/07/2005 15:15

colditz may be worth waiting till next week and then going to see gp to ask for blood tests?

emmatmg · 22/07/2005 15:23

First response gave me a neg result and one of the result is lying on the sofa watching scooby Doo the other is asleep in his cot.

They're rubbish.

try Boots own.

Janbo25 · 22/07/2005 15:59

colditz i suggest you try a clearblue digital it sounds defo that u r pregnant

flamesparrow · 22/07/2005 16:16

I'm not convinced by the first response ones.

Still about here if you want me to send it out

charleepeters · 22/07/2005 16:19

colditz - i have had the exact same yhing as you this month i had a faint positive then a few negs after and although i may not be the same thing my dr said mine is due to a missed m/c. i had the sickness the implantation bleed, sore boobs ect then still got neg tests.

I hope ths isnt what yours is.

PeachyClair · 22/07/2005 16:32

I did keep redoing the test after, but ds2 was sofaint I couldnt see it unless I shone a desk lamp on it... four years later, it's the quietest thing he ever did!!

PeachyClair · 22/07/2005 16:32

PS I liked Sainsburys own, cl;earer result

Janbo25 · 23/07/2005 12:55

have you tried again colditz?

colditz · 23/07/2005 19:31

Have tried again, Janbo, and I did it at 7 am today with a clear blue digital....

What the hell is going on?

OP posts:
